'Every piece I mark is bringing in pennies for the coffers' - a mantra to repeat when the total numpties which are educational establishments cannot get the admin right.

Yep, it's been a frustrating day, marking-wise. But I have some answers, and have done what I can.

Tomorrow will no doubt bring its own delights and variants to the way one is supposed to do things WHEN IT IS PUPILS' FUTURES AT STAKE.

I have realised that every waking moment when coherent thought is possible needs to be devoted to getting it all done. Deadline 1 is fast approaching...

All over rash is less today. But I am sooooo weary! However, we got dd her brand new specs today, which she loves, and had a traipse around the toy shops. She commented on how expensive they are!

Dd is so proud of her glasses - she keeps swapping them over!

This year I have already found 2 centres where the statement that all bullet points must be covered is obviously considered to not apply... Leading to more marking and extra paperwork oh joy! Of the 5centres done so far, only 1 is completely complete, with no missing paperwork, no serious mis-application of the rules.... Off to go and repeat my mantra...!

On another note, my friendly rash is almost gone, but I continue to be very weary and have to pause after going up the stairs - typical of when I have a virus. So no ZWOW, bodyrock or even bunny slope workouts for me.

The rest of today will focus on the other marking as I try to finish my first centre...

A full day at work, without incident, but still causing me much anxiety. Really need a solution, but the cogs move s l o w l y...

    Marking is also full on.

Knees, ankles, feet and fingers all swollen up today. Knees also hurting. And wrists joined in tonight. And thumb bases.

However, the very painful neck has eased up a little - helped by generic painkillers and wearing a heat pad all day. Yes, it did get cold, but wearing it until I could get to the microwave stopped me moving it too much.

I feel old! If this is what having a birthday does for you, I'm not having any more! Off to google my symptoms and scare myself...

Off work for the rest of the week. I have reactive arthritis following viral gastroenteritis. Tis a label indeed!

Ice, anti-inflammatories, elevated limbs and keep moving. So have set a timer for every hour, to go out for a walk around the block.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
