We've done some small shops at Sainz recently as I've had a few £6 off £30, so have offer shopped plus a few things which I can only get in there anyway (and 2 vest tops for me....) but agree you don't get much for your £ in there
Give me A1di for more for my money any day!

Aldee is our go-to shop and we only use sainz for things we cannot get there: gf breadsticks and other bits, sugar-free peanut butter, pink milk mix, dried milk, white vinegar, smoothies. Tha is probably it!
A wonderfully full and busy day today. As my marking gubbins was unavailable until 4pm, it was also a guilt-free time. I took dd to dance classes (x3) and sat outside knitting in the sun. Then we scooted along to a party with a magician, which she adored. Then in to town for both of us to meet up with dh and for dd and me to have eye tests. Turns out that yes, my eyes have changed, and yes, dd does need glasses for school and tv. She quickly chose 2 pairs of FREE glasses and I will go back another day to look for mine. Then off to peruse a stationery shop (eek to the prices!!!) and home. Dd went out to play for a bit and should sleep well tonight (fingers crossed)
My marking batch went ok, given that I'm a newbie at it. And am now off to attempt batch 2 so that I might be able to have tomorrow off...
Aha! Despite all the out and about-ness, I maintained a SFD - yippee!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We have sent dh off to church in the car (to help with PA, of course) and are having a chilled out day. I have had really painful skin this morning and an upset tum, like I must have ingested some gluten. I have no idea how it got into me! All I know is that I do not like feeling like this!
I did finish my 2nd batch of marking, and will have to do a third. It seems that only about 4% each year don't have to do a 3rd lot, so I don't feel too bad.

Hmmm. Have been so tired out by whatever made my skin hurt. Still don't really feel like eating - eek!!!
Still made it to work though - last week for the exam kiddies.
Have done my French A2 speaking tests today, so now everything that I need to do has been done. Phew.
A shed load (well, nearly!) of marking has arrived so I shall endeavour to put some order into the chaos this evening. Dh is going to take dd to brownies and I'll collect. So I should get 90 mins... I may set myself up a countdown for the number of writing scripts as it is a fixed number, and a count up for the speaking as it depends on how well centres follow the mark scheme and admin side of things...
I need to prioritise tasks to do at home and tasks to get done for work. And then DO them!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dh was tasked with getting dd to bed tonight.
She is still awake...
I am still wiped out and off my food, which is very unlike me. But cheap to feed.
Dh has been told that they want to operate on his operated-on eye to clear something which is the liquid draining the wrong way. Apparently a minor op. And then in the summer, they want to 'do' his other eye with a super duper modern version of what they did to the first eye. So I have told him that he'd best NOT get a job just yet, as the several days (weeks?) off plus weekly follow-up appointments for a while might not be smiled upon...
Hmmm, just pondering if we may be entitled to some benefits... especially when my pay halves after June...
Off to bed I go, regardless of whether dd is asleep or not.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I now have a full-body rash. Probably linked to what I have had wrong with me all week. I have never had one before, so that is something to cross off my bucket list...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Thank you MWC! At least I didn't have it yesterday - my birthday!
So, hydrate, take piriton and call 111 if it gets worse/itches/gets feverish.
Thanks to dh, got tent situation more or less sorted today. Phew.
Marking and moderation have plodded on - much time was lost to-ing and fro-ing with the doc, but I am so glad they could see me in the morning. I have ambitious plans for the morrow... But will also be taking dd to collect her glasses - she is totally excited and looking forward to getting them - in the afternoon.
NSD 11 for me - but only because I'm too ill to spend and food shop! Dh is ensuring we will not starve...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
