I have one who will eat anything and everything (except prawns, after a dodgy meal out in London a couple of years ago), one who will eat very traditional style (roasts, toad in the hole, pastys, small amount of pasta - nothing spicy/ hot), one which eats stereotypical small children food (sausages, beans, pasta (but only plain, no sauce), garlic bread, lots of cheese, spaghetti hoops etc - and lots of couscous) and one who exists mainly on cheese with the odd fishfinger!

Leftover cajun roast chicken is sitting in the fridge. And Spring Piggy. And stewed apple + raspberry. And a pork mince thingy. Yummy.
We got our Love in a Box stuff from the 99p place.
The day should entail:
-library :T - have told dd that in November, I'll not be buying her books from ch shops - she devours them and it feels like a waste of money. Instead, we shall use her full quota from the library.
-dr check up for me :T all ok - presc sent straight to chemist
-meet friend for coffee :TYep - a very nice time was had
-fill up love in a box boxes :T almost there - they are biiiig boxes
-plan November's challenge
-set budgets + diary commitments for nov
-whites wash :T And a colours one too:T:T
-washing up (ours, all ours, and left from last night just because we can...:D) :T
-plan weds' visit to crawley
So, Crawley, budgets and Nov to do now... Probably in that order.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Have you heard of the Shoebox Appeal? Run by Mustardseed relief missions. You fill a shoebox with stuff from a list for a girl or boy in a certain age range. Dd wanted to do 2 for girls - one age 3-5, the other age 6-11. Then you cover the box + lid in wrapping paper, but every box is checked so you don't seal it up.
They didn't do it at dd's school one year, and she was soooo upset!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Oh yes we do that at school...we just don't call it that.0

Dd is still dozing - yay!
And the rain is raining down - not quite so yay...
Today we head off to the delightful Crawley (on the train - no way was I going to do motorway driving and then finding somewhere to park when not necessary) in the hope of seeing Freya Chocolate, a Sylvanian Families character. And because dd would also like to be home for the pop channel movie at 2.30, it should not be too tiring a day out.... Famous last words...?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Morning Apple, have the lodgers definitely moved out permanently now?
Congrats to DD for trying new foods :T
I am currently working through alphabet series by Sue Grafton. Not strenuous but something I've wanted to do for a while.
Have a good time today.

Tilly - good question...! I would like to be able to give a definitive answer... 'I think so' is as good as it can get for now! We still have dss's laptop, snowboard bag full of snowboard + other bits and bobs, suit... We know they are off up to Lunnon on sat for a concert, and they had talked of coming to collect the stuff. But does that mean drive here and park - which implies sleeping here after the concert - or pass through, but they can't take it to the concert. Or just get the train and collect stuff another time... Quite unknown...
However, I'm tempted to invite my mum down for the weekend and thus render the room occupied!
Hmmm, having read over that, I think it may be safe to say that they are gone. And we can start to reclaim the room.
Dd got up after 12 hours asleep/snoozing - much needed as she is still fighting off a cold. Must get her dressed and pack the bag and head off. However, the escape of Sir Ivan from the clutches of Fury after 800 years of captivity is kind of claiming her attention...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Freya was awesome! Can't believe it wasn't packed out and queueing for ages. Overall, dd went to see her 5 times. And was greeted with enthusiasm every single time. Awesome toy shop staff!
The travelling went super smoothly, and as there was 10% off purchases, she now has a boat thingy for Christmas and a baby on a slide for now. She is one happy little girl.
Now, the pop movie is about to start and I have bins to empty and ironing to pile up (for later...maybe)NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
