Am doing appalingly with the NSD malarky! It's because of not thinking ahead, of course. Stopped off on the way back from church as we needed milk and ca1po1 and ibuprofen for dd. The little shopping area we stopped in has 2 chemists - both closed! But i spent £10 in 1celand. How much is their milk?! Got 2 milks, 2 eggs, petits filous, an Easter egg for dd (that's g-f, so worth it) and some lollies for the same child.

Anyhow, after lunch it was time for the rugby. While dd played on the bed, I did a workout, then was able to do some knitting while she carried on playing. This time I was doing purple hearts, to see what they look like.

I've done 5 workouts so far this month, which is a good feeling. I really could do with losing some of my fat stores, and summer'll be on us before long.... We'll see how it goes. I find that working 4 days leaves less time for exercise as it's straight into dd and her stuff til about 8pm. But that does still leave 3 days to work out. So they can be my intense workouts, and the other days I can try to get my step count up. 100 days takes us to May 20th (I think). Wondering what coukd be achieved in that time?

    I like your thinking A*M:
    :p Summer ... yes please!
:p A 100 day challenge ~ would be a chance to use up one of my 100 squares! Now, just need to think about what I can do / save / give up for 100 days that won't annoy Mr. Hbbb too much! Great plan A*M, will you be exercising or making bobbins for your craft stall ~ one a day for 100 days will fill up your stall nicely!

Oooh, 1 item a day! My immediate reaction is 'no way can I do that!' But that rather misses the point, no?? I too could make a colouring/sticker chart for 'items completed' with a goal of 100 by... May 1/2 term. Can i include ones I've done so far, please?! Am starting to feel excited by the idea!

I asked a work colleague if she was interested in a stall with me and she may get me to sell some of her stuff for her. Yippee! A bit less space to fill!

In a very non-mse spend, (please don't tell kat!), I've just bought dd 4 Ra1nbow Magic books off Amazon. All new. All filling little gaps in hercollection. Only really 'needed' 3 but that didn't reach the £10 mark, so was 'obliged' to add another! All her RM books up to today have come from charity shops. But there's a drought of them at the mo.

Got home early from work, so stepped on the stepper for 15 mins before collecting dd. I do a couple of mins with light resistance, then crank it up. I'm never on there for more than 25 mins so try to do intervals on it. Tomorrow is normal workout day, plus a big walking day as dh has the car and I've an awful lot of shopping to get and errands to run. It's about 1 mile to the furthest shop, so I start there and work my way down to A1di the catch the bus. I can stagger the 5 mins once off the bus, but couldn't stagger the whole return route.

And i must do some knitting...or at least some sewing up of stuff. And then colour in my chart!

Dd woke herself up by 7 with her coughing, poor thing. At least she didn't disturb herself - or us - in the night.

I got most of my workout done before she came downstairs, which was good. I've gone back to an old Men's Fitness one that I enjoy, so I'll try to keep a record on here too.

4x20/10 secs (should be 8x but am not starting with that much! Will work up to it) of each of: snatch grip deadlift (25lb sandbag) 43; goblet squat (8K kettlebell)37; upright row (sandbag) 27; hamstring curl (gym ball's in the loft, deflated, so did hip bridges on sofa) 25; dumbell pull over (5K DB) 25; back hyperextension 24; bent over row (sandbag) 33; swing (sandbag) 44.

I feel it already, which proves that I was right to only do 4 rounds. It's good to get it out of the way for the day, as I can now focus on running all the errands and shopping and knitting.

Did I mention the critter in the loft? Yesterday I spotted a small hole in the ceiling of the back bedroom, in the corner where all the scrabbling/clawing/scratvhing has been. Managed to wedge an old washing up bowl underneath it, so that if critter kept digging and came through, then there was something to stop it. I'd discovered that having the loft light on made it stop (go away?), but that omly works when the landing light is on, and we can't sleep with that on. So dh rigged up a lamp in the loft, all is quiet this morning, and we're hunting for info on removing said critter and disuading it from bothering to return.

  • I declare that today was a good day.

Dh did some shopping for me on his way to work at silly-o'clock. Heavy stuff and things I can't get in Aldee. I walked up to the shops in the wind and rain and was warm enough to enjoy the bracingness of it. Got most of my shopping list and caught bus home. It was a shopping load that was so heavy it would have forced me to walk past any pennies on the floor. Thankfully I saw none. But if it had been a pound coin, then I'd probably have made an effort!

Home and dry, hair washed, washing hung up, knitting and sewing up being done. Time for another trip out, down the road this time, to the other chemist, for dd's prescriprion bread. Came back with 16 loaves worth! 16 small loaves, mind you. Plus 5 packs of rolls. Hmmm. Where to put it? Easy! On the kitchen floor til dh gets home! Somehow he's got it all in the freezer and fridge. Well done him.

Y11 parents were their usual gorgeous selves. I teach some lovely children and it's wonderful to gush about them to their parents.

Dd is sleeping - jolly well should be at this hour! - and not coughing or snoring. Critter seems to have scarpered, so all is strangely quiet. Uh oh - spoke too soon. Dh is trying to get the voice recognition software working on his phone. Cue some rather ripe insults aimed at the phone!

Step count got to about 14,000 today. Go me!

    Now for an early night.

You absolutely should P*M, you did what, 7 or 8 hearts the other night? Get those stickers onto the chart, quick!

Well, she has been poorly and sometimes, it's these little things which add the sunshine to the under-the-weather moments. £10 isn't excessive tbh. I'd say that if you'd had to pay for the prescription bread etc you'd have had to spend loads more than £10 and it's lovely to get your littlie something she'll enjoy out of cash saved from circumstances she probably doesn't enjoy quite a bit of the time (dietary issues etc) ... if that makes any sense at all? It sounded encouraging and sensible in my head, but now I'm not so sure! :o

And i must do some knitting...or at least some sewing up of stuff. :(my least favourite bit ... apart from jumpers - lots of long, straight seams!

And then colour in my chart!

Glad you got on well today, well done getting through that list and then parents' evening too! Hope your evening is restful after all that.

Finally logged another NSD. A busy but decent day at work and home in time to do another workout - conveniently labelled number 2! :j

4x20/10 secs of: dumbbell chest press (5K) 38; DB squat (5K) 40; DB flye (3K) 32; triceps extension (3K) 20; DB shoulder press (5K) 28; jump lunge 72; triceps press up (on knees, belly down) 22; jump squat 62. Ooph!

Tonight's plan is salmon in sweet chilli sauce, cauli + another veg for tea and knit 4 heart pieces.

And hang washing up, and get dd to bed, and pare down emails and do lunches for tomorrow.

Still don't know how you do it! I did an on knees, belly down earlier, but that was because I tripped over the dog ... does that count?

  • Hbbb, belly down after tripping on dog DEFINITELY counts double!

Have completed 2 full hearts - all sewn up. That brings my total to ... 3 owls, 2 pairs of gloves, 3 ladybirds, 1 bee, 2 purple hearts and 13 white hearts = 24!

Am going to chat to my work colleague about what to do with the hearts. Sell singly with a hook? Make bunting - needs x number? Do vertical hanging - again, how many hearts needed? I hope she can advise on pricing too, as I'm clueless here. Don't want to cost too much. Nor too little!

Now that I've done 2, I can try for another...? Or go to bed...

Nopity nope! Lunches to do first, then bed.

:j It's Thursday!:j Dh does morning school run and I get my first free period of the week! Albeit the last one of the day, but it's still something to look forward to. Will be spending some 'quality time' with 2 pesky pupils at lunchtime, bless them!

Found a rogue heart last night, so 25!

Off to straighten hair - tho why I bother when the mere whiff of damp air frizzes it again, is beyond me. Must get dressed too, I guess.
