Got us some ch shop bargains today. Plenty of books for dd - ranging from princessy ones to one about animation. An eclectic child. I got some nice j0hn lew1s grey tracky trousers (velour, in fact!) to wear in the house - my current ones are super holey - for £1. Some great fabric for bunny ears too.
Have made mice aplenty, as they are super quick and easy to do. May save more cutting out and stitching for when I'm invigilating the internal exams next week. The first paper I'll have to mark isn't umtil weds, so will need something to do. Other than the long list of 'jobs' I have...
Got an answer re the tricky pesky centre so can hopefully sort that tomorrow... And the TIDY UP! And dd and I are meeting a friend for coffee - tho I suspect the playground is on dd's agemda. May sneak a look at the fabric stall that'll be on the high street...

Dd went off to sleep well, but had a nightmare so I brought her in with us around midnight. I slept on my allocated 6 inches of bed with my 4 inches of duvet u til I went to the loo at 4am, only to discover that dh wasn't in the bed. He'd taken himself off to the spare room - I did check he was there and had not been whisked away by aliens - so I therefore claimed more bed from a starfish sleeping yet wriggling dd. Twas not my best night!
We dozed until 8ish, but I do have a v stiff neck and shoulders.
Anyhow, today we are going out again. Ha ha. Experiences not things, eh? We shall meet a work colleague for coffee at 11ish, so I'll take lunches too. The £shop may take our money if they have any hotwhee1s cars, and I may give some to the fabric man if he is cheap enough.
I also want to finish my last centre, as my leader has advised me as to what to do, pop to the chemist and also top up my oyster before we travel (85p won't get us far!), and CRACK ON WITH SOME BUNNIES. Yep, am getting the bunny itch once more.
But it would be advisable to get dressed and breakfasted first...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dressed, breakfasted, pkt of butter delivered to neighbour, oyster topped up, chemist visited, coffee drunk, £shop done (gave them 14), fabric drooled over but not bought (can always go back another day...). And a big He11o Kitti balloon bought for dd - had promised her last time we went there that she could have one next time. So this time was that next time.
Now to sort out that centre and then sew some bunny bits. Such fun! May help it along with a coffee and some chocolate...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
5 bunny bodies, ears and limbs sewn. Just need to turn the right way round, stuff, stitch up, attach to body, do eyes and noses....
2 he11o kitti felt stuffed thingies made - my own pattern. But they use too much felt and my stock of white is severely depleted so only 2 made. From conception to completion, including drawing and cutting out a stencil and then doing it again as it was rubbish, it took me 50 mins for the pair. And as dd helpfully informed me, they need a bow on their heads. Gee thanks.
14 more mice cut out too!
Tomorrow I hope to have a lazy day at home, much to dd's disappointment. Maybe I can finish the 5 bunnies and cut out some more...
Not done many steps despite being out and about. Had to resort to runing up and down the lounge + dining room (wearing my new running shoes) to gain 3000. But it's given me a headache and calf ache - I'll try to run outdoors next time.
Dh told me today that he's been paid an extra £300 but does not know why; however, he went on to say that he has paid an extra £300 off the mortgage :T. He's a good'un! We'll definitely be in the 52s by the month's end.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd is still asleep - over 12 hours now!
In the meantime, I've had a relaxing start to the day. Done a MF workout (as tweaked that pesky calf again whilst trotting up and down the room yesterday) that involved no jumping around, downed 2 coffees, posted some bits for sale, put on a whites wash and listened to the kiddies next door having a screaming competition.
Now to go and see if the bairn is stirring...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
A couple of housey progs and then the tennis while dd read and played. She has only just taken charge of the 'mote control!
Anyhow, just popped on to say: 49 mice so far. 14 more cut out. As long as the total is divisible by 4, all is well.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
1 bunny completed, 2 others nearly done, 2 still needing turning.
I went for a short walk when dh arrived home, in between hailstorms, and was daft enough not to take a coat. Or even a brolly. So had to walk the last few mins v quickly indeed, which has damaged that calf muscle even more. Oops...
Tomorrow:
- dd's mock dance exams
- PO with most of rest of stuff for exam board?
- feedback form for pesky centre
- washing
- make more savoury flapjacks
- bunnies
- get sister's presents sorted and ready to send
- fill a bag for Sally Army
- playdate?
- bake cakes for dd
- find a good cookie recipeNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hey you
Do you ever sit down!?!?! Without sewing I mean
DD is a lovely little ladyI love reading about her. Well done on all the making, sewing, doing, Centres!!!
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/695634/dairy-free-choc-chip-cookies - switch the flour for your own substitute & these are the best best in the entire world. Jellytot inhales them, with dark chocolate chips
For your calf, try epsom salts if you can find some. Well worth it, and cheap in most pharmacies. You need around 250gms for one bath - although I use more but hey whats that 25kg under the bed for if not to be used. Fantastic health benefits, and really sorted my knee out in one go! Also, Tiger Balm, the red variety, is incredible. And smells amazing.
Lots of love xxxx

Ballet and freestyle mock exams were thoroughly enjoyed, sold a few plastic figures, friends came to play.
Tennis is now on (Nadal is winning of course, but the other chap is brightly dressed and putting up a good fight), sun is shining outside, dd is happy (after another lonnnnng night's sleep) and the mice are coming on nicely. Yes Lilt, I tend to pick up some sewing whenever I sit. I guess that means that when I get a lot of sewing done, it is because I'm sitting on my a$$ a lot!
Dh has put the sonic squirrel repulser thingy in the loft for now, to see if it works. Otherwise we have to borrow a ladder and get into next door's garden to access the bit of fascia/soffit(?)/wood where the pesky critter is lodging.
One more day of hols left. It has been a good week. Hopefully my step count will INCREASE next week once I'm back at work, but will need to make an effort as there'll be lots of sitting to invigilate exams. So, lots of mice to be made next week...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
