tomorrow will be the first day in about 3 months that I'll be in the house for several hours on my own!

Oh wow! How jealous am I? oh, actually it might be envy. I don't think I have had my house to myself in over a year.  DH last went into work in February.
Hooray for non-open plan living!  I love my doors and separate rooms. Enjoy your space.

Also jealous here! I went from having the house to myself every day to sharing it all the time with 5 other people - those first few months of lockdown last year were all about me cooking/ cleaning/ looking after everyone else - enabling them to work and study - and boy did I not like it!!! Still haven't had a day with everyone out - although from next week it will just be DH and myself here during the day - oh hang on, I'm out at work every day next week instead!! :joy:

    Enjoy the peace, apple xx

No need to be jealous. I was on the phone to 111 at 6.30am this morning, as dd had severe abdominal pains. We ended up going to A+E soon after, and got home about 12.45. Suspected appendicitis, but thankfully it wasn't. No specific diagnosis, just keep en eye on her and go back if necessary.

I am a hawk, karma! Dd took herself to bed , so that she could wriggle and writhe in relative comfort. I have made many trips up the stairs in response to her moans and groans... She didn't think she'd sleep, but it has been v quiet up there for about 30 mins.
Just read a bbc headline about Dickie Bird isolating for a year. On his own. He's 88. And it made me cry. He was part of my childhood -dad was an avid cricket fan - and was so famous and lovely. No one should have to be on their own.
