So, I hoovered and then managed to empty the hoover over the coffee table. Sigh. And, just so you know, I did hoover it all up! All washing up done and cleared away; recyc taken; printer cartridge replaced. Then got a taxi.

Moved more bags of paper recyc to the garage (about 10) as lovely neighbour said that she is still happy to put them into the bin for us, every 2 weeks. Took meter readings. Boxed up slides stuff again - got it into 2 boxes, not 4 - and labelled for keeping. Put all the stuff for keeping on 1 table, all labelled, except for 1 metal small-drawer filing cabinet. I'd managed to move the one with about 8 drawers, but the larger one (double the size) was too heavy to move, in my enfeebled state! But it is labelled...

Freezer snaffling was fun: 2 slabs of salmon, lobster, crab and kangaroo steak. But it was heavy to carry - again, enfeebled hands and shoulders. By the time I was nearly home, the bag was giving off wafts of fishy smells!

It is kangaroo steak for tea. Yum.

I am pleased to be home.

Just prepared a bread + butter pudding using the crusts that dd won't eat, almond milk that dh bought by mistake (twice!!) Instead of soya, 3 eggs and some sugar. It'll cook inwiththe homemade chips that dh has promised - best remind him as I cannot yield a knife at the mo and thus start the process...

Pleased to note that my hands and feet are much easier today. Phew.

Dd and I pottered down to some ch shops where she got some m0nster h1gh stuff + doll, spending her own money. I got her some books (3 at 20p, and ones she wanted), a coat for next winter (1.25), 2 pairs of tap shoes for £5, a 50p 'Hermione skirt'. £7.35 spent will have saved us a gazilion pounds!

I experimented with cauliflower rice for tea, and it worked really well, with another portion left for tomorrow.

    Tomorrow. 'Eck! Another year.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2017!

    Happy New Year!

    So, how has week1/12 gone?

Health: improved hands, finger, feet and toes. No coffee since Tuesday. Morning stretching done daily.

Wealth: dd gave me £5 from her cmas money to pay off the mortgage. Super duper finds at ch shops. Joined NST for Jan. Snaffled plenty of seafood from dad's freezer.

A life well lived: finished the garage at dad's. Ongoing sorting of c tax, driving licence. Quiet times had. Some headspace done. Knittng snowman mittens. Decluttering done.

    A decent start.

I found this so cute :)

    Great week 1
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    ZCUT cardio #6 completed.

    Some knitting started.

The underside of dd's bed ( it's a high-up bed) got emptied out to our bed, and we had a little sort. Some more bits went into the charity bag and I have put everything back, but in a different order. She loves it, which makes it worthwhile.

The rain is pouring down - I guess we need it. Wish it were snow...

Dd and I half watched a gothic version of sleeping beauty, which was a tad surreal, generally enjoyable, but we were glad to get to the happy ending part of it.

Today I am grateful for time with dd, for wsm on the telly, for the haircut I had recently (still love it), for the way dh and I work as a team, for a warm duvet to snuggle in in the mornings.
