Sorry to ask another one! What should I be looking for in terms of a replacement please? I have been through every page of the manual and cannot find it's type stated anywhere (nor its location but the video is brilliant for that, thank you).

For instance, is this the sort of thing? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0077IQ0AM/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers

    or this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0077IQ1F6/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers

They certainly look similar to that on the video but wanted some reassurance from an expert please.

    Many thanks again,

They are both basically the same only, one is 500GB and the other 1TB (1000GB) .. Its down to you what you think you will use.

That would be fine( look here too ), but you don't need to purchase one just yet.

It doesn't actually need to be a Toshiba Drive.

Ok that's ordered. So should I come back on when it arrives and I've removed the HDD?

    Thanks again,

Oh really, I didn't realise, doh! Thanks for the link.

Is there anything else I need other than blank discs e.g. usb cable?

    Thanks,

    Thanks GlasgowTech,

    You were correct.

I was just looking at aardvarks virus problem and it seems very similar to what happened to my laptop but I suppose these things do!

You can even go as far as fitting the Drive into the caddy, noting the Drive Letter produced when plugging it into your PC, right clicking on said Drive Letter and then choosing > Properties > Tools > Check Now(under Error Checking).

    Brilliant NiftyDigits, thank you!

I will do as advised and then come back with the result/report if I need further support. You're a star, thank you. :T
