Well I have managed to finish a week of project life, so another two pages to declare. Only 6 weeks (or 12 pages to go until I'm caught up!!) Lets hope I get them finished this week before I fall any further behind!!!

Today though the kids and I are off to the local zoo to enjoy the sunshine and animals :)

    Happy crafting everyone :)

I've got 4 dolls houses here currently: one in the loft which will be a long-term project. Another that sits in the study doing nothing, my grandaughter plays with it when she comes. Another one that was my daughter's and I'm supposed to be redecorating it for her daughter, and my 'big' one, that I want to decorate as my dream home. Plus 2 breadbins to make room scenes in, a Christmas lantern, a box that looks like a book, and half a dozen other boxes to make room scenes in!!!!! I don't really get any time to do the dolls houses themselves, I've mainly been experimenting making things for them and for the swaps. To be honest I'm being a bit obsessive/compulsive over them, as I do with everything: I have to buy all the bits I think I can possibly ever need before I even make a start. I've done that with cardmaking, scrapbooking, cross stitch and quilt making in the past - I still haven't learnt that I can enjoy doing something without having a million things to do it with.....

My dream is to have everything made and finished, and for me to have absolutely nothing to do and be bored because I've got nothing to do!!!

Loopychris, all your makes are fab. Those order of service cards are beautiful - but very labour intensive for you.

I've just stumbled across this thread and become inspired. What do I need to do?
Are there other crafty threads on here? Is there a bargains section? ;-) Glad to be here, be inspired, make friends and make stuff!

    Hi nikihb and welcome.

There is a whole section on the forum devoted to crafting - its great isn't it?

This thread was started by me as my craft obsession had got out of hand and I decided that I must use up my existing crafting stash before buying more. I was buying more goodies than I was making items and as such I was (and still am!) overrun by crafting stash. However the rules are very loose and we do still treat ourselves to the odd (or in my case massive) amounts of stash when we want but this thread helps us to focus more about we buy (I think anyway).

You are more than welcome to join us - all you need to do is a set a target figure of items you would like to make / use and then keep posting your progress.

This thread inspires me all the time to make something new and also helps to keep me on the (almost) straight and narrow.

    Hope you can join us.

    Happy crafting xx

Love your makes - they are all beautiful. I think I have some letters like these somewhere in my stash (but spelling CRAFT if I remember rightly). You have inspired me to try and find them, decorate them and then put them in my craft room. Absolutely LOVE the mirror as well and again I think I have a couple of these mirrors somewhere in my stash. I can feel another "borrowing" coming on :) Thanks x

As for the wedding stationary, your daughter must be thrilled with these - they are amazeballs.

Well done you :) You are one amazing (and very crafty) lady :)

Well as it is such a miserable day outside and the kids and I are waiting for Nanny & Grandad to arrive to stay with us for a few days, I decided that I would try and teach my little 7 year old boy to sew. My 10 year old daughter has just joined an after school club to learn to sew and inspired by her first make we all made little felt needle cases doing all the sewing by hand.
Mine is the one with the green heart, My son's is the blue and red one (Spiderman colours) and my daughter's is the one with the red heart (she wanted hers to be like Mummy's - only different :)

I am really proud of them both as I think they look lovely and they are feeling pretty chuffed too. I think I can feel some Christmas Present making coming on - they would make lovely gifts for both Nannies, Aunties and older cousins I think.
Plus as they were all made using items from my stash I am going to declare a further 3 items to my total :)
