The Cre8tor - strangely enough i'm one of these that makes things with no clear idea of who they are intended for! I've kept one pair of earrings for myself and done one for my mum. I've always liked the idea of giving things away in my blog if i have no intended recipient but at the moment i don't have enough traffic for that. I haven't really thought about selling things as i don't think my stuff is good enough to sell. Thanks for the praise - about teh items and the blog
Crafting mad - you say that some of us are putting you to shame by hitting our targets but you are forgetting two very important things. Firstly, your target is so much higher than most of ours and secondly, if it wasn't for you starting this thread none of us would be making the progress we are. We are all so grateful to you for doing it0 -

Ahh thank you ems - you have made me feel a whole lot better
I love this thread and am so glad I started it. It's lovely to see all of us feeding of each other's inspiration and I certainly need something to keep me on the straight and narrow
I can't wait to see what you make next - especially after reading your blog and seeing all those lovely pieces in the spring kitMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Wow - I've just realised that on 18th of this month it is exactly 6 months since I started this thread. I would LOVE to know how many items between us we have managed to craft so I have updated the front page as best I can but could you all please check and let me have your totals (if different) asap by sending me a private message so that I can update the front page and see how much progress we have made as craft collective

Wow, lots of chat! We've no time for that - we should be crafting our stash away! I had forgotten that I had made another card yesterday, so I've updated my sig. May post a pic at a later date.
I've decided that my next stashbuster will be a baby quilt/playmat. The top is done and I have the wadding and backing, so it just needs sandwiching and binding. Probably won't get to it until Wednesday as we have grandchildren tomorrow and football tomorrow night.
craftingmad, I just checked your front page - well done on updating that, a challenge in itself! I loved your poem and your idea of good luck charms for your children - how caring of you.
emms, your bookmarks and earrings are fab. I've never tried making jewellery - and, in the spirit of this thread, I'd better not start
Florenceem, good luck with all those story sacks. Knowing you, once you've got fabric sorted out, you'll be off on a roll and get them done in double quick time. Lovely cards again.
loopychris, well done on clearing out more stuff. I was crying inside a) because I "wanted" to give your stuff a home and b) because I don't have the willpower to do what your doing. I admire you.
Cre8tor, that's a lovely 'make a wish' card.
Looking forward to seeing what you all produce next.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Awww, thanks everybody for your comments. Think I was feeling a bit down when I posted yesterday so I appreciate all your kind words. I'm sorry, I should offer any of you on here my stuff first... I know it would be loved and looked after, but wouldn't really be doing you any favours and would increase rather than decrease your stashes! If anyone lives within driving distance of Dartford in Kent, you're welcome to have some of it.
I had to clear up the spare room today for my daughter to stay overnight, so everything's just been shoved into a cupboard and drawers out of sight, looks like I've got even more than ever!!! I managed to knit 2 more squares today, so I can up the total by 2. Can't do too much today or tomorrow as we've had to clear out the lounge/diner because we're having a carpet fitted tomorrow, so all crafting/creating has had to stop for a couple of days. I will however be taking my knitting needles and wool to the library tomorrow for my weekly 'talk time' group... I can't sit and do nothing!!!

Hi all,
I managed to make 10 cards yesterday from sheets I had printed off the computer ages ago. I challenged myself to use only these sheets and physical products such as message die cuts, ribbon, buttons etc as all too often I use the computer to make sentiments, backing papers etc which does not really use up much stash
I still have loads of previously printed topper sheets left so aim to make some more cards today to try and reduce the pile
I also have two items to go back to Create & Craft using my prepaid label and two more which I am still thinking about. I know I should really be ruthless and send these two back as well but the papers from the kits are so pretty and I do love a good patterned paper (even though I hardly ever want to cut into them:)
Well done on all your new makes - keep up the good work
