28 At Wimbledon 2013 Marion Bartoli became the first French woman to win a Grand Slam singles title without dropping a set since whom?

Answer = Mary Pierce (1995 Australian Open)

(The question asks for the last FRENCH woman to win A GRAND SLAM singles title without dropping a set. So, she has to be French and it can be any of the grand slam singles titles [not just Wimbledon])

I found this if it helps

Peejoc - does the question imply that she was the first french woman to win a grand slam so there isnt a prior french woman to her

I agree with peejoc's interpretation of the question (and the answer).
Answer must be French [and] a woman [and] won any grand slam singles [and] did it without dropping a set.
    Well done peejoc.

Well worked out, Some thought needs to go into question writing as people can interpret questions differently and you end up with 3 or 4 different answers which would be correct in some way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Grand_Slam_women's_singles_champions#Chronological_timeline_.28by_player.29
