Women: Trousers to a wedding?
Comments
-
A handful of female guests came to my wedding last year in trousers. Dressed up with heels and a smart top, I don't see a problem with it.0

Thanks for all the responses.
The wedding went well. Bride in an off-white hooped number with bare shoulders. The bridesmaids provided a contrast with all black dresses. It looked good.
In the event, the church was warm but it was cold hanging around outside for photos. Even in 2013 the norm does seem to be dresses for ladies as, in a full church, apart from Mrs G, there were just a couple of other (older) women wearing trousers.Have we gone back to the 1920s or something?
I think you may need to go back further than that. The androgynous look was fashionable for women in the 1920's. Trouser suits originated in that era.0
