  • Right off to seize the day and all that.

Done a peedie bloglet about a wee walk I like and making some concerted effort to write up all these jaunts about the place and plants that grow here before I scarper.

Today will be walk filled too
    Car booty to pop into
    Car to take to garage
Nut milk to source for RG's health
Banks to check - cheque went in on Friday cos I knew you'd all tell me to get my finger out if I didn't (in a nice way and I thank you!)
    Skype the manchild later
Speak to X as they've sold their farm and will soon be moving away to a new adventure need to hear about timings etc and when kids can visit.
Tea is in oven, lunches are out - must check we use things up.
Must text campervan folks, there's a bit of discussing before we can shake hands I think............

Have a good un whatever you're upto.

    :hello:Hello Pippi!:hello:

As always, loving your lists! - must get my butt in gear and scare up a meal plan for this week! - nothing like peer pressure to get things accomplished :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Forgot to get a chicken in this week's groceries - so no Sunday roast for us this week (oops!) - no stock for this week's risotto & no bits of chicken for putting in the weekly stir-fry - silly me!

OH has been "volunteered" to make us a Sunday dinner of chicken with fennel & potatoes - all from the stores & bottom of the fridge/freezer gleanings! - he can be a lovely OH at times ;)
    ...A piece...
...Wed - poss trip to another island and a castle - cupsoup and piece
    ...

Pips - before my English/English translator goes into meltdown could you please explain what a "piece" is? - over the pond, the common usage of that word is definately NOT edible! - English/English translator (i.e. the OH) is not so good at North of the boarder usage & my lovely Scottish Granny neigbour has gone up North for a family feast, so popping over next door for a chat is not an option either!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!

A piece can either refer to a sandwich or a whole packed lunch, depends which part of Scotland you're in.

Thanks CazM :) it is indeed when I talk about a piece, it a sandwich!

:D although you're right you also make up your 'pieces' for your packed lunch too which is called your piece rather than packed lunch.

    Its very confuddling!

Caz I gave you a wave on Friday/Sat as we were ov'r the firth for a bit of a posh nosh and a wee adventure!

sorry about the chookie RT - we had a 'roastless-roast-dinner' last weekend - a giant yorkshire pud with all the veggie trimmings and gravey no meat - I don't miss the meat as nice as it can be I love all the bits so we often have a 'roastless-roast' - started when I was schcool cook and one of the girls was veggie and always moaning when the guys had roast and she had pasta - so we did her a 'roastless' lunch with all things yummy.

Quite a cheap and frugal meal too.

Enjoy your dinner your OH def a good un!

:D in from walk - about to skype the manchild and see what he's been upto!
