I must have been really sleepy last night KC - am suprised you made any sense out of my drivel! - while the actually goose was one of the Canadian variety - the so called friend was a British bloke who hunts here - her thought it was mightly funny that I got excited about goose meat until the *connection* was made know! TBH I almost dissolved into tears as I *love* those majestic birds! But then again - free food trumps all so wiped those tears away and got my mind round cooking it!
Oh my word! Then I can safely tell you, I *love* them, the look of them, the sound of them. Laughing at "free food trumps all" tho :rotfl:
...and yes my dear I'm a displaced city girl with eclectic food tastes, who hasn't quite adjusted (after many years) to living in the middle of nowhere, where a yellow pepper is considered exotic & no one has heard of tahini, let alone pimenton!...
Difficult! I'm now in the tiniest town I've ever lived in (not counting Bicester, actually, tho since half the population was American servicemen, it didn't really feel like the back end of nowhere :) ) - but this is well-off commuter land, in spite of the number of CD and the 99p store, so it can get *terribly* exotic :rotfl:
You know how MSE makes us feel about peedie spends we get all shameful sometimes when its the logical thing to be doing sitting and having a wee cuppa rather than dashing off - thankfully our airport isn't pricey :D
    I do know! Awful!
Now i've never had this and love aubergine so I must at some point have/make some.
A Chilean friend of mine fried some slices for me the way she learned at home, no idea what she did but it was amazing :D
So 15 books (mainly large a4 size) are heading for new shores via chums/recycling/local nature office.
    ...........

And these days with Mr Google etc - I barely dip into them any more.

Does feel weird but 15 books decluttered is good.
Its a bit sad, isn't it - but I've got rid of thousands of books in my time, as you know, and its just .... necessary. If I win the lottery (which I don't play) I could buy a house big enough for a separate library, and *then* I'll have a spree in Foyle's, and every 2nd hand book shop on Charing Cross Road, buying all the books I fancy :rotfl:

    Sleep well, Pippi and all.

  • Morning folks!

Mild and damp here. As we walked to school we could see the first daffodils opening in sheltered gardens. My garlic is growing fast already! Meal plans today involve finishing up the last of the large vat of slow-cooked chicken I made for the hordes on Sunday, but I'm thinking of having a rummage around in the garden for some leafy veg to go with it as a change from frozen things.

    How's everyone doing?
  • Oh to daffodils - how exciting!

    Hugs to haggis withdrawl!

And book decluttering is in the bag so I have to take it now to the charity shops.

Whispers...........................I have an interview next week.

    Shh, don't scare it.

Just trying to work out travel.........
