Waves quickly - nae internet indeedy but weary happy folks.
New house is just gorgeous.
Boxes/Sofas/Patyyyyyyyyoo furniture arrived yesterday all at once with some chums and some smiles we managed to get almost everything assembled and unpacked.
One pesky sofa bed needs a bit of a look at today (and tools, so we've nipped doon tae the flat) and I'm catching up on work emails/internet stuff and he's loading the car.
10p onion sets in P&Q watch out for those - we snagged some - OK so the veggies will be later and prob smaller but we will have veg.
Hounds very happy.
New month food wise started with a great rissotto on the wood stove (free fuel provided by garden).
Off to raid the cupboards here and make a plan.
Already got some 'bookings' for visitors. YAY.
Odd to be away but feels nice too. Not really coping with the change of weather...........
Ice cream scoffed and walks on beaches had.
All in all a smooth move so far. About half a doz boxes left to unpack and we're straight until we move the books/etc from the flat.
Grannies battered old sofa is parked by the kitchen wood stove adding that air of 'scruffy' to an otherwise bonnie kitchen.
Thanks for the whopping and the tea making from the sides, really helped.
BT are being silly boogers and the internet will be a bit tardy.
RT lovely cheese story and I'll look out for that. Our local wee toon (Golf Land) has a wee cheese shop or two - smells fabby, although I do see folks holding their noses!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Banks needless to say are very squeaky. But we're being careful.
But we're CC free and I paid for a sofa (cash) which cleared my last two car payments as OH will pay them for me.
Hooray!
When back in the lands of proper civilisation I'll catch up properly I promise but until then, have fun!
PS Visited a beautiful independant nursery and filled up on tomato/courgette/cucumber/leek/cabbage/corn plants so I'll be having a 'container veg patch for this summer'
Also dug two beds out and in a fit of madness with some secateurs and loppers cut back the overgrown shrubs to the side of the garden. (I found the edge) so its 10m wide not 8m it would seem.
Also found a garden bench behind a rather over enthusiastic fushia and a path.
I did dig a bed for me leeks.
The mutts dug down to NZ to see if DD had arrived safely.

...forgot to tell you about our latest cheese adventure...
The nice lady behind the deli at Wa!itr0se described it as a really stinky cheese when we asked her about it! You'd think she was trying to not sell it, the face she made! As it was reduced down to so cheap it was almost free, we took a piece - not the least bit stinky, lovely and creamy, definately a strong flavour but not offensive! It's called Epoisses de Bourgogne - give it a try if you come across some!
I also tried some English Goat's milk cheddar (yum!) and OH some English Oak smoked Cheddar. It was (red stickered) cheese and crackers for starters last night while we waited for our dinner to cook!
Sounds very yummy and like a proper cheese adventure.
I tried some local Ainster. They make it a few miles awayI drove past the cheesery (is that a word?) yesterday. Yummy that was too.
