Might be worth looking around for new deals then if you find some cheaper you can weigh the saving against the cancellation fee.

    Will do x
    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50

Look around and make sure you're getting the best deal. BT have a bit of a monopoly Up North and I know that Papa Mooo is paying through the nose for a worse package than we have at the moment in the Big Smoke.

You may find that you save £20 a month which makes the cancellation fee worth it.

Make a cuppa first though :D

RT you are too kind (lobs some cheese (orkney smoked)) and says thanks but I am a mere hungry gardener in search of inspiration!

Moomin/Starnac - thanks I'll check up north we had no choice and I know this place is rural and no cable so need to find out the best way - like you say if we save a heap then the 132 fee might just have to be worn.

    Mini list
Checked banks - 78 quid we aint going far.
    CC now showing cleared

Foraged for HM food - chicken noodle soup and made enough for tea with some chook and greens from freezer
    Fathom a phone deal
Look at boiler deals for this flat needs done before renting out.
    Relaxay vous. I'm tired.
Hounds to walk although they're had a fab time plootering in garden when I was hanging up the washing. Might wait til himself comes back

    :D

    Right boilers and phones.

Phones first - imagine being internet less for weeks.

    (insert blue shreeky face)

    Phone brain dump

    BT - cancellation fee £132
    Land line/bb - 50 ish31.99+ calls /month
Barstewards have changed the 18 month contract from date of moving order to new house if we take it up.

    Sky - 40gb limit - phone etc 32.40 month/50 installation fee
    annual contract

EE - 20 gb limit phone etc 36.50 month
    annual contract

    Plusnet
    £14,50 line rental. 3.49 bb

    No cable.

TRG reckons he's got a better EE offer as he's a customer so will review once home - but looking like BT is the better option.

And, now for boilers for flats being rented.......

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo - the solicitor says ring at 10am tomorrow for news of keys.

All going well they expect us to complete tomorrow all funds being drawn down etc. So we might actually get the keys to the house which seems very grown up and a bit too posh. Fear not dear hearts we'll soon mess it up with our mud.

Movers rang to say Monday's a go'er if we are.

Husband on way home from work for once we're in the same place.

Off to the Swedish shop for a neb at sofa beds and garden clobber.

Seemingly (and I've seen this in books) some people sit in their gardens and do stuff like eat.

And they don't wear full thermals and are not tied down.

Nor is the furniture (which stays OUTSIDE) secured down for gales.

    Curious. Curious.

    :D

Away in 1950' stylee to slap on the lippy and make meself bonnie for me man. His supper is already prepared.

Waiting by the step with an elderflower cordial ready for him, just too much, do you think?

I've been lurking on your thread Pippi, but thought I must pop in and congratulate you on paying off the cards and wish you good luck in your new abode with your Rock God!

The elderflower cordial sounded delish - hope he appreciated it (and you in your lippy in your "Mad Men" retro housewife mode!)
