    Hurrah! I have a lovely shiny new laptop :j :j :j

I'll have to wait till next week, when XBF is back from hols, to get it functioning fully with office software etc - but with any luck I might at least get it hooked up to email and the net before that.

Having bought it I'm now skint for the rest of the month, with no spare cash whatsoever, which is going to be interesting next week when I am really busy and would normally have allowed a bit extra  Still I think - I hope - I've allowed for it adequately...

Anyway, got a free lunch at work today as a meeting got cancelled but the catering didn't :D

    Must dash, working hard

    Hugs to all!

    Love Rzl xx

not sure what to cook tonight, not opened the fridge yet to see whats gone bad (so much for not wasteing any of my veg box)

lots of washing and somehoe got to convince Bradley that his cuddly panda really needs a spin in the machine.

    Afternoon all,

Feeling very virtuous to-day, up at 6.30 to take DD3 to have her wisdom teeth out...first for Xray and then to surgeon for extractions...total cost only €800! She would have had a long wait otherwise and they have been giving trouble. We didn't get back until 1.30 so I am now 'resting' OH said last night that he would do dinner, then forgot and got nothing so he went shopping when he collected DGS1 from school...we are having lamb chops, turnip, broccoli and mash, to be followed by mango and ice-cream.

Must finish clearing porch to-day...it is small, has shelves in and everybody dumps things in it so it is difficult to get through front door at present. Some of my plants suffered last week when there was nobody here, they have perked up again but need tidying and maybe a feed to keep them going while I am away next week.

Hugs to all who are in pain or trouble of any kind

    Hi all
Today turned out better than I expected, nothing to do with work though.

I had a phone call from my grandson, who is just 3, he said 'hello nana, my mummy's got a baby in her tummy, but it won't come out till after Christmas' so I'm to be a Grandma again!

I'm doing lasagne for tea & making some raspberry muffins as a treat for everyone at work tomorrow. I have a set of curtains to take up this evening for one staff member & more to come next week from another & I'll probably make a couple of rice bags whilst the machine is out. Some people have asked for rice bags that smell of something other than lavender, I'm not sure what else to use, anyone got any ideas? I also have offered to help someone who can't/won't cook so I will devise a meal plan & type up some instructions & if that proves too complicated, I'll invite her over at the weekend, next time I'm doing a batch cook.
Hugs to PP & PP's chicks, scuzz, Fizzles ds & anyone else who needs one.

    Afternoon Everyone
Storm ? What storm ? GP prescribed big strong green antibiotics yesterday "It's not asthma, it's not a cold, you've got bronchitis woman" Seems this is the reason I've been feeling like an old dishrag for past 5 weeks. But the big green bombers sent me to strange dreams which I always think will make great poetry, but actually don't. Last time I read was May 30th and started by apologising for my voice, said "I'm just getting over a cold" Hah ! Am reading tonight, just hoping for enough puff - and no alcohol either with the antibiotix. Beloved's head now coming up in enchanting bruises, he has a headache of course, he won't come and see me tonight, I want him to rest.

scuzz yippee for the time off - can only do you good
Hester have you looked on Gumtree ?
Churchmouse my local library gives free internet access by the hour - you have to book it, but you can have an hour a day for nuffink - perhaps your library does the same ?
catznine if you can't be bothered to make chutney, mangoes are great in a smoothie, or a (mild) curry or even with ice cream

Early supper tonight, Beloved got some duck liver (reduced, natch) in Waitrose and I think he's going to cook it, while I choose a gownless evening strap for tonight - from my - ahem - vast wardrobe :)

hope everyone's day went as hoped
