Good morning:D
Well today's the day I lose broadbandNot sure when I'll get it back, have been told it could take up to a month:eek: Sorry fellas, wouldn't want you to break a sweat, rushing for a customer:rolleyes: I'm going to look into trying to get a non-subscription dial-up service to see me through. If I don't manage it, I'll sure have some catching up to do:rotfl: :rotfl: Thriftlady's thread will be a book by then! And the chicks thread!! I'll have to visit an internet cafe:D
Don't think we had thunder and lightening last night, but boy did it rain:eek: But it's left a beautiful morning:D Much *cleaner* air and lovely sunshine.
I have got some more washing to do so that can go out soon.
Well Aussie is now en-route to Singapore, she gets there midnight our time tonight, after a 5am start this morning. Think they'll be a tad tired then:eek: Hasn't it been lovely having her in the same islands as us, even though I didn't get to meet her
Well I'd best get started, I'm not even dressed yet. I'll keep checking in until the broadband goes;)
((((((hugs))))) to any sad, worried or poorly ones.

Morning all
Catowen - will sort those links out for you later - DH has hidden the bit of paper with them on!!!
What a fantastic storm last night - the lightening was like something from a film - proper big forks lighting up the sky - a ball of lightening exploded just outside DD's window - we'd just lifted the blind to look at the rain and we saw this ball come down the road - was just amazing. We did think we were going to have a bit of a flood at one stage - water was up to the sill on the patio doors
WM is just on final spin, kitchen is half done - just need to wipe up/put away and put chairs/rugs back down as I've just washed the floor. DD2s room is dusted and awaiting hoovering and then on to the rest of the rooms - I do hate this time of year when the cats are shedding - especially with a long haired white fur ball that seems to waft into everyroom just to annoy me.
Some paper work to do this afternoon and then I will have a quite hour with my patchwork.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning guys.
Sorry i didnt get to post agin yesterday, but didnt get back from funeral until around 2.30 then straight off to school then the in laws arived.
Uncles funeral was lovely, alot of people came who we wernt expecting so i was pleased that it wasnt just close family, a represetitive from the firm he used to work for came, dont know if any of you have heard of it the old Robinsons factory that used to make boxes and nappies, which i thought was lovely.
Catched up with my cousins that i havent seen for many years afterwards, and it turns out my eldest cousin who has lived in Holland for the last 19 yrs is moving back to the uk in July to the village where they used to film last of the summer wine. And she has invited us over to stay, so something to look forward to.
Inlaws have just gone, i must admit to getting worked up about them coming but they are my favourite out of all my husbands family, they take me as they find me and dont question anything unlike dh dad and step mum!!!!! But thats another long story!!
Crazychik hope council come today ref guttering have picture ready to show them!!
Hugs to everyone else, need to go and get myself back on track into normal routine after the past few days, i just want to clean and tidy and cook, WHAT HAVE YOU ALL DONE TO ME!!! This time last year before finding you guys i would have never said i want to clean!!!!!!!!!LOL
Catch you all later
Hugs

Hello again,
Pooky - thanks for that, knew you had been away, so no hurry!!!
Churchmouse - hope you get some sort of internet, we will miss you if you are away for a month!!!
PP - good luck at the dentist, hope that he does something that works for you!!!
Taplady/amie/pen pen - we have had 2 strawberries, and there is another red one due to be picked, trouble is something has eaten all my tomato plants now, only one carrot is left, the boys hit a football into my sweetcorn, and the one butternut squash i managed to grow, had its top knocked off, so guessing that one wont be growing either!!! I think my only success is some potatoes i have grown in a pot, but only one of the 2 has been successful there - thats the prob with growing things, now so much has gone wrong, i cant start again until next year!!
scuzz - glad you have the 3 weeks off, is that enough for your month away?
Sorry about starting everyone itching, now have lotion and a nitty gritty comb - our health centre/doctors wont help with anything like nits (or veruccas etc) DD had a horrible verucca once, took her to the nurse and she sent us away again. But, hopefully we will be nit free by tonight.
Have a horrible smell in my kitchen at the moment, think is coming from my DW. have run a hot wash with vinegar, but that hasnt worked, and i forgot to get DW cleaner (that expensive stuff) so any ideas anyone? If i cant find any home made remedys, will get some cleaner when i collect the children from school later.
Right, breakfast is over, off to play building blocks - ive also promised the LOs they could watch the Incredibles today, so better keep my word on that one too!!
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Not really. I have to take one of these weeks as unpaid which isn't good. But at least I can take a break to get my life sorted out. So looking into a long trip in August now.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hello!
What a lovely day it is after that storm! They certainly clear the air!
Hope Aussie lass's flight left on time, 19 hr flight not much fun, much as I would love to see Singapore again I don't look forward to such a long flight.
Catowen - I have only had 6 strawberries so far but they were lovely and sweet, much nicer than the shop ones. Can't wait to get some courgettes and tomatoes so I can make my favourite vegetable bake.
PP - Hope you get on ok at dentist, my illness has also caused lots of problems with my teeth - abcesses mainly which are so very painful. (((hugs)))
Veg box has turned up with another aubergine so possible another moussaka. Also another mango so must find recipe for chutney!
Have a lovely day!

catowen I think Aldi have a dishwasher cleaner which is not too dear.
Also the smell may be from the drains with all this rain, and your drain problem.
I will presume the obvious and you have cleaned out the filter:o
Pen-Pin you must feel like a pin cushion, and the teeth problem on top (((hugs)))
