Have you tried Iceland for shopping- you can shop over the net, and delivery is free once you hit £250

Well done for picking up the phone and making those calls, scary stuff, but so worth it.
I hope that the craft fair is busy and has lots of people doing their Christmas shopping, I am envious of you being able to sew, I can knit quite well, but I am not good with fabric and a needle or sewing machine, I put it down to a horrid teacher who helped all the girls who did well and just didn't have the way of helping us numpties get into sewing and be able to enjoy it:(
With regards to the bracelet - what is done is done, but perhaps you can turn it into a positive and maybe think of your Nan cheering you on and helping with your resolve to get sorted once and for all. You can do it, there are many on these diaries who have not managed it first, second or perhaps even third times, but are now DF and enjoying life again, a life with less "stuff" but enough and peace of mind too. Keep plodding. xThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I like your pumpkin...; - )“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0

Steph, lovely items, you are so clever.
I was very naughty and had a nosy over your FB page, and would you believe it one of your "friends" and I have a mutual friend - a very dear person, I live a long way from her and it is a timely kick up the rear to remind me to get in touch. xThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Steph, just seen the discussion about your crafting and had to join in. It's a bit short notice but hobbycraft have a offer running until Wednesday where you can upload your first 20 items to Etsy for free. I haven't looked at all the finer points but I will PM you the information.
Good luck with your debt busting.0 -

Thanks sooo much for all your lovely replies about my FB page.
I am no master craftswoman, but in times of need you just have to give stuff a go don't you. I have always loved messing about with the sewing machine, and trying to convert a hobby into a money maker.
It is working to a degree, I will never be rich from it, but at the moment it is bringing in much needed £10, £20's here and there which definitely take the pressure off the bank account.
I have been able to scratch off fuel costs from my spreadsheet for November & December as I know I have enough orders in to cover the cost. This is £200 per month. Which is pretty good.
Expect it won't be so amazing in January when no one is spending but it is certainly helping right now.
Off into town this morning to meet the man that is selling me his 2nd hand Xbox with 12 games, Kinect, Steering Wheel etc for £50 :T. That will be Ds sorted for Christmas.
Such a stroke of luck as its such a big present and not costing me much at all.
Just need someone to sell a bulk load of Barbie stuff for DD for a similar price and that will be Christmas done. Will check out Ebay.
Got to get a few food supplies this morning, have made a strict list and have about £30 spare to get this weeks shop. Think I should be ok. Value range here I come.
Hope you are all doing ok, when I get back I will check out some of your diaries.
Take care

Hi Steph enjoying catching up on your diary (now subscribed) and the fb page is great, may have to dust off my grandmas sewing machine, would need to finish the patchwork quilt I made for DD last yr for Christmas, it's all together just need to do the patch working now
We'll done on all of the phone calls very brave I hate doing them which isn't good as everything is in my name (OHhas bad credit rating) but tackled sky yesterday next will be BT :-)
Food shopping is our downfall we struggle to do less than £250 a month for me OH and DD (19 months) and have moved recently to all value brands where possible. Make sure if you are comparing prices look on the ticket on the shelf and compare the price per item as some of the apparent deals for branded items can end up costing more!Loan £19,728 £1,541 Virg £14,273.81 £8,228 @0% Barc £10,056 £0 NatW £3,682.73 £2,917 MBNA £9,624 £8,654 @0% Overdraft £3,500 £2,000Starting Jan 20 Total Debt £51,239 Mar 23 £23,341 DFD Jan 25 22mths to go Mortgage £248,011.94 £239,659 - MFD Nov 2047 Nov 2046 - LTV 66%EF £0/£300My diary{/URL}0
