I agree, and that works out at 3.1% over 54 months? But the latest deflation figures will drag down the last months?

If you accept the data, the compound rate for the 48th issue is about 2.95% per annum. In reality it is about 2.90%

RPI is still positive (0.70% annual rate for October) but, yes, the final redemption figure will be dragged down to about 2.7%.

By the way, do note that there were two 5-year ILSCs on sale during May 2011, the pre-12th May certificates delivering a greater coupon. With the RPI being so low recently, that extra coupon makes the earlier certificates significantly more valuable.

I put 15K in for 5 years from 11th May 2011 and the new figure is £17482.50, still better than the bank

I bought into the 48th issue as well, mine was 6th Sept 2011. The lastest figure is not so good and i'm thinking of cashing them in. The value is £16890 according to the calculator.
How can i work out the redemption figure? or is this the amount i get?
