Have tried to install this but having problems would be grateful for any advice. I run window 7 64 bit. After installation it came up driver incompatible. File & memory task cannot be started. Not implemented. Databases out of date. Some components cannot be enabled, i have tried running programme compatibility using xp. Now kaspersky wont load at all

Since KIS 2009 predates W7, I very much doubt that it will run on it.
W7 was released in summer 2009, KIS 2009 will have been released in Autumn 2008. That's why it's saying 'driver incompatible'.
Why are you trying to install an AV program that is 5 years old?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Try installing the latest version Kaspersky Internet Security 2014.0

Reason i bought 2009 i was advised it would just update data bases to latest. Big difference in price between £4.99 for 2009 to the latest kaspersky 2014. Well looks like i wasted £4.99 at least i know now for future reference, thanks for replies0

Normally with Kapersky you just need the serial number than you can download latest build at least you can with last years edition. I bought Pure 2 and installed pure 3 using serial number same with pure 1 and installed pure 20

As above download what ever kaspersky product you have the licence for .
Once loaded enter the 2009 licence it should run from date of first activation ..0 -

As above, you totally misunderstood the procedure.
You download Kaspersky Internet Security Version 2014 and use the Product key from the 2009 disc after the month's trial is up.0 -
Ok thanks all. Its a one licence disc so think ive cocked up. If i try to download kaspersky on line it Wont allow because it says already have kaspersky installed0

not a big issue
follow these instructions http://support.kaspersky.co.uk/common/service.aspx?el=1464
then download http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/downloads/trials/internet-security-trial and use the activation key you have for KIS 20090 -
Thanks earthstorm will have to try later when i am back home. I have already used the application key on the install this morning. So if i uninstall which i am going to have to do anyway will kaspersky let me use the same activation key again. It is only a one user licence0
