  • Thanks for the thread Natty.

In this week. Sorry I've not been about for months. Have taken the decision to resign from Secretary of the local Hall and also the Community Council. Hopefully this means the energy to be able to keep the house tidier from now on.

Sticks for your BDs Katiecat. Hi tarotangel. Lovely to see you back.

Stairs done and dusted, brekkers scoffed with OH, kitchen tidied, BM on. Paperwork now, clearing all the notes I made over the weekend.
    Better is good enough.

doing HHexcercise before work anyone want to join at 11.30?

Done as walked the dog with DH from 10.30-11.30!

In again this week. Black dog has been really bad last couple of weeks:( but battle against it goes on.

So sorry, as a fellow sufferer I know what that's like ((hugs)). I've got a sunlight lamp (SAD lamp I think they're called but I like sunlight lamp better). I'm starting to find it's helping. If you can try to get a little bit of exercise as that definitely makes me feel better than I was but I know different things work for different people.

Just ordered presents for DS and DD - they both have birthdays before Christmas (DD 4 weeks before, DS 6 days before) and DH has his birthday 5 weeks before Christmas so busy time!!

Had lunch and here's my list:
Remembrance Day - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister

    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Dust all those trinkets! Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

Shouldn't take long I hope. Just going to find what's good for cleaning a slate fireplace. I did find a load of gibble behind the logburner - put it in a carrier and chucked it in the wheelie bin only for DH to say no, he was saving all the metal 'cos you never know when it will come in useful for something' so said bag has been taken out of the bin and is bag in the lounge again *sigh*. I do try!!

Home for a quick 20 minutes lunch.

Kids in the exam hall we asked to stand to the side of their desks in silence for a minute before the exam began, they were wonderful, so glad this still goes on and spreads the message to the next generation.

Need a drink and back to paid stuff for the afternoon.

I've sorted out my christmas folder and went through DD's gift suggestions for others. Somehow I don't think Ex would appreciate a bungee jump :rotfl::rotfl:

Then I've washed the paintwork/wall down in one corner which involved me pulling the freezer out. To say it was dirty would be an understatement :o But its now clean, and I just need to put stuff back. Then I best head for a bath before I go out to work. I didn't realise it was so late in the 'school' day  I need to leave here at 3pm.

Nice - I love the colour :). I did a jumper for DH last year and it took for ever; mind you I did it when the weather was getting colder and when it was all done I missed having the warmth of his jumper on me whilst I was knitting it!

Cleaned the fireplace, going to do the electrical stuff now and then need to be brave and go back into the kitchen as [STRIKE]it's like a bombsite[/STRIKE] there's a few bits that need sorting out.
