I'm in this week. Thanks Natty!

I'm going to roll over a few jobs from last week which need to be done. I have lots of half done jobs or ones which got delayed for one reason or another. Jobs outside will be done this week while the forecast is dry. I can stand the cold, just not the damp.

    Personal WEEK:
Work out how many sets of lights I need for Christmas & which ones I want - can't decide between coloured or white LED ones for around the room. Also can't decide how to tackle the lights for the tree this year. I need about 500 bulbs if not more, may require a trip to Christmas departments in town ;):D
    Shredding
Make a start on fleece blinds/curtains
    Find net wire/hook & eyes

    Demould: Livingroom, Bathroom, hall
Put old bed outside Need DD to help me fold/tie up old mattress. She just needs to sit on it as the mattress is wrecked anyway :rotfl:
    Clear yarden
    Pay CC when bills arrive
    Update finances

    Work (Week):
    Mon - Collect books from school (3pm), collect/deliveries 6pm
Thu - order due (no books)
    Chase missing items, sort replacements
    Update call book
    Find Christmas Cards to write.

Remembrance Day - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    15 minutes...

Vacuum floors and sofas & Kitchen floor
    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • If you are wanting to take part in the flylady christmas card swap please PM Natty68 your details!! .. name address and email addy.. some people may want to send e-cards .
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Dust all those trinkets! Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!

    Personal Mon:
    Dailies
Find more tak for DDs picture & stop it moving.
    Catch up Christmas planning
Laundry: dark, light, bedding, reds, towels
Ironing (while the pile is small ;))
    Bath
    Change my bed
Sort through boxes in my room that have just been dumped.
Wash paintwork down by kitchen. DD spilt milk a few months back & although she cleaned it up, the walls/cupboard/freezer have suddenly developed black ick which is where the milk was looking at it.

Right, I'm going to do the christmas planning part first (after I've put a wash load on) as that will clear a hotspot on the sofa next to me :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Please don't take this the wrong way but if she is ok for housework she should be in school. If she can do something then I'd recommend school work, revising, research etc. I know it sounds harsh but as a Governor who spends an incredible amount of time in school looking at the link between attendance and achievement it makes me sad when opportunities for education are not taken :(

I get exactly what you mean and do wholly agree.. After a bug or something they can feel ok but not be able to go back to school as they have to stay off 24/48 hours after the last bout. Squeak was sick middle of the night so missed a Thursday and Friday but after a lie in on the Thursday she was absolutely fine. They get to do homework/coursework catch up when they feel better.

Mine don't get time off if they say they feel unwell, they have to actually BE unwell.. I send them in with .. 'if you are ill at school they'll ring me' With my girls I've also discovered they do the 'I don't feel well' card when all they need is some breakfast... silly things.

I'm sure WW knows her daughter well enough to know if she is pulling a fast one .. I have been known to say well if you stay home you can do X, Y and Z jobs.. if they are ok they opt for school ;)

Matalan called AGAIN... I am fluffed off with being patient and understanding now.. they have £108 of my money and I have someone elses ugly table from Debenhams... NOT happy... so I stropped at them today.

I need to catch up on laundry but it is raining again..

  • Thanks Natty. We're in again this week!. I find it difficult to post everyday at the moment, but I am following the thread to keep on track.

I'm slightly confused today as to whether the baby slept through last night from half twelve to half six when my OH woke me up (baby was fast asleep stilll) or if I slept through his crying - I was exhausted when I went to bed last night. My OH said he may have kicked me to wake up in the middle of the night, but it might have been the night before and he definitely didn't get up to feed the baby. Can 6 week olds sleep through? He doesn't seem to be ill or starving hungry this morning, just normal. Perhaps I have a baby who is going to sleep through from an early age !

Anyway, my list is this for today:

Remembrance Day - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    15 minutes...

    Vacuum floors and sofas
    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!
    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
    Extra Mission:

    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clear as may hotspots as you can..

    Also:
    Sort out money spreadsheet
    Express milk x 8
    Empty DW
    Put away clean clothes
Wash babies clothes and hang up
Wash exercise clothes, hang up and put away
Write birth story for yoga teacher
    1.5 hour nap

    Hugs all round xx

TY Dusty and Natty for the lists. I hope tomorrow goes well for you Skint. What lovely Monkeys you have Kaz2904; the juniors I saw here on parade were all dressed so smartly in their uniforms, with the shiniest shoes. Very uplifting. I'll be joining you at 11.00 am Jazee.

And then I'll do the stairs.
    Better is good enough.

most of mine slept through from about 1-2 weeks.. the others never slept or wanted to sleep all day and play all night. Pixie has slep 10 hours straight a night since she was about 10 days old.. unfortunately she is on a 26 hour day so is going to bed at 3am but then wasn't to sleep all day.. If we wake her she is starving and speed feeds and promptly vomits.. so we are having issues.. normally I'd just wake her earlier and earlier..

Bath at 9:30 tonight to knock her out!

Made a start on OH's jumper.. it feels nice

  • In again this week. Black dog has been really bad last couple of weeks:( but battle against it goes on.

Enjoyed the stories about war memories, I only found out a couple of years ago that Mum had lost 2 uncles in the war when she pointed out their names on the memorial.

House looks good really -had visitors last night and only a couple of mins notice but quick tidy was all it needed thanks to flying:)

Would love to do secret santa :xmassmile but dont do face book does that matter?

Going to put summer clothes away in vacuum bag really dont think I will need them again this year:rotfl:
Hugs to all who need them
