  • I'm in - did well the first half of the week then it tailed off :(
Saving for Christmas 2017 £120/£400
  • Yup, I'm in again this week. I did quite a few bits of Monday's list over the weekend but the hoovering in the living room needs tackling so that'll be tomorrow's big task.

Off to make a hot water bottle and snuggle down for an early night.
  • I'm in - thanks Natty :A

Spent much of yesterday and today sobbing through various Remembrance services and programmes. Some photos arrived from Italy taken at a service a few years ago in the park named after my Grandfather where they had a wreath laying in his honour. And to think 2 months ago we didn't even know where he'd been killed let alone that there is a memorial to him. I think I'll be visiting Italy very soon................

Remembrance Day - Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    15 minutes...

    Vacuum floors and sofas

    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
    Clean TV and other electricals

    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc

    Extra Mission:
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.

"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi

9 items listed so over half of my month's aim, hope to still meet my target.

    Froddy hugs xx

Still no ironing done, may just do DS2 a shirt in the morning.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • Thanks Natty and Dusty for respective lists.

Did pretty much my own thing last week and as a result there is now a bit more room to breathe than usual. I had visitors on Saturday, so perhaps that spurred me on!

Remembrance Day - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    15 minutes...
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!! - Advice needed, please: Can anyone recommend a plant that flowers around December and doesn't need much looking after? It looks as if I'll be here at Christmas (possibly entertaining) and if things stay the way they are ATM I will be celebrating my Me Challenge success (touches wood)! If so, I'd like to celebrate by having a plant on my sitting room window sill. Nothing too overpowering perfume wise, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful ..... Thanks in advance.
    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • If you are wanting to take part in the flylady christmas card swap please PM Natty68 your details!! .. name address and email addy.. some people may want to send e-cards .
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Dust all those trinkets! Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

Hope to post later in the week.

This week I shall try to be a better flylady!!

Today I deep cleaned the bathroom and it was DISGUSTING so this week I am aiming to S&S every day!!

I am also aiming to so a few small jobs each day so I don't end up spending all weekend catching up!!

Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Thank you Natty and Dusty to help get me back to some semblance of normality. DD1 and I were up talking til 6.45 this morning, so flying has been staggering about and making lunch and not much else.
