Cleaning Jobs

you will be better off, not by much though but it will get you off JSA and away from those advisers and the WP so it has to be better than that.
You will be able to claim housing benefit still and working tax credits if working 30 hours or more.
I would take any job as long as it pays more than JSA, you will feel much better for it and can still be looking for a better job whilst there, without having the stress from advisers.
oh and you need to set your sights higher than warehouse work as that is generally as badly paid as cleaning jobs.
I applied for loads of cleaning jobs, at least it's easy work and more than likely you will not have a boss breathing down your you.0 -
When the JC say you don't have to apply for a job if it will leave you worse off, do they take into account your travel expensives?
Is there a formula for travel xx amount per mile for example?
I haven't found a job yet that is to pay less than JSA but am curious about this rule what they take into account for less off? (for example I claim free school meals I don't take that cost into my considerations as ds could take sandwiches, would the JC consider it? as for someone with lots of children the amount would add up)
I take the view that at present I am looking for a stepping stone job, I know with my long gap in unemployment I am only going to get a MW or just above job BUT once I am in employment I will be much more attractive to employers so can then look for a better paid position.0 -

they don't take much into consideration, they do allow for travel costs, but that's about it, so basically anything that's involved to getting you to work but no meals for kids or stuff like that.
I had to do one of these calculations on the WP and the figure was only pennies over JSA.0 -

The bloke across the road is clearly OCD, and whilst I was washing my car (badly) one summer afternoon, he was actually taking the wheels off his car to polish behind them, and I jokingly suggested that with his attention to detail, he should set up in business, cleaning for people with OCD.
And whilst his business is currently just him, he seems to be doing okay.0 -

Somewhat ironic, looking at your username?!0 -
I'm a cleaner. Part time on 20 hours. Yes, it is minimum wage, but I want job satisfaction more than anything.
This is the best job I have ever been in, and I have been in some well paid jobs previously. I do not have a manager monitoring me and scrutinizing me. All I have is an area manager who pops into the workplace once a month just to check how I am.
I much prefer cleaning than office work, there is no cliques, office bullying and politics, !!!!!iness and two-faced colleagues to sit amongst for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week where I have to TOLERATE rather than genuinely like.
I love cleaning in general and it has made me more OCD, not exactly a bad thing because if I was not thorough, I am sure there would be complaints from the clients!0 -
I wouldn't mind a cleaning job but every one I see advertised asks for experience!!0
