Cleaning Jobs

Just need some advice,

I have been told by my work programme advisor that I need to start applying for cleaning jobs but just wondering why should I apply for cleaning jobs when it's not a good wage?

Cleaning Jobs is only a low wage and I will be better to stay on Jobseekers till I find a better pay job like warehouse work.

For example: is this a better wage for this cleaning Job?

Shell I apply for this cleaning Job or should I just ignore it and pretend I didn't see it? will I cope on that wage as I am living on my own in my flat? sorry I can't add that up as I am not good with maths lol even though it's a low wage, will I have to pay some rent towards my flat? as at the moment I get full housing benefit.

Just like to state that I get £129.90 from Jobseekers every fortnight.

Just need some opinions on this thanks

No not that role, she just told me to apply for any cleaning job, is that job worse?

You do not have to take a part time job if you are seeking full time employment.

Anything below 30 hours is part time.

You are expected to apply for part time work if long term unemployed. Where the work is less than sixteen hours you can continue to claim JSA, although your earnings will reduce your entitlement.

If you have limited skills you will have to take a low paid job. Have you taken steps to improve your maths?

No you are wrong.

You do not have to take part time work under 30 hours if you are looking for full time work.

If you take a job more than 16 hours you have to sign off.

16 hours at NMW is still more than JSA so I look for temp work too but OP you have to be better off in work and the JSA and WP know that.

Yes they can make you apply for any job as in what it is but not if the salary makes you worse off.

You must apply for a job as long as it will not make you worse off. The OP will not be worse off as they will be able to top up their income with JSA/ HB/ CTB etc.

We know you have issues with the Jobcentre krok, but please do not let that get in the way of giving accurate advice. The OP would be sanctioned if they failed to apply for the job (if the JCP know about the position) without good reason.

My friend was in a similar position about 10 yrs back, she took the poorly paid cleaning job, she realised she could do better than the company that employed her so set her own cleaning company up and is doing very well for herself.

You just need to be a bit OCD from a quality point of view.
