    Hi Everyone

A rather spasmodic look at you all today as very busy at work and caught up with DD! Latest news is that she feels DGS3 has decided not time to come (her MIL said she was in severe distress when they came over Sunday and the hospital visit!). He is now causing no pressure or bladder distress which we all know kicks in at this stage. Could be the wee blighter proves us wrong and comes late (2 and 1/2 weeks till due date).

PPenguin - how are your babes and thanks for your concern about DD maybe not so imminent for me now!

Kyle - love to you and your family and your Mum too! Sorry to hear about dental problems. I have dentist tomorrow morning and I have had a total phobia since age 5 (I bit the dentist in Thurso!!!!!).

Well Kyle re weddings! What can I say. DD and DSIL married about 3 years ago - decided as they had DGS1 and DGS2 we knew was on the way - a very intimate family day for the ceremony and meal. Just 18 of us -very very close family. DH said have what you want we will pay but don't go overboard but they just wanted the intimate ceremony and meal with party at night. They said they didn't want to be a burden as we had already helped out with house deposit. Well, better now than when they get money when we die! Helped our DS and partner with deposit too when he moved to Ireland and would help out with wedding (they are saying No and No to children by the way! Their decision).

Well, we had vitriolic letters from family saying we were penny-pinching, weddings are family occasions when all should be at the ceremony, meal etc. I was in bits. At the end of the day it was what DD and SIL wanted, and after all a wedding is a statement of love - not totally the big pomp and ceremony.

We had a lovely day (weather could have been kinder)! My darling DD was radiant, I was in bits and SIL fantastic. DH didn't see the dress until she came down stairs (she came home on the Friday to leave here on the Saturday for the ceremony) DGS1 slept through the ceremony as he was only 18 months old. Fantastic evening reception for 100 plus folk. Sorry about rant, but your DH just goes dressed as he feels approprtiate. Sorry, you have a lot going on just now. At least he is going to the ceremony and kilt hire is so expensive. Fortunately my DH has kilt (wore it for his party) and we bought DS kilt for his sister's wedding. They are not cheap.

DD and family due at a wedding at end of this month - she hasn't bought her outfit yet as not sure whether baby will be here or not. Main men wearing kilts so she looked into hire for Los - about £100.00. I have said I will get them smart trousers and shirts next week - they can't spend that sort of money!

Sorry about the rant but I feel sometimes extended family expect things rather than accept what people want to do.

I am intrigued - did you elope to Gretna.

Love to you and your family, also to Twink and the rest of the family.

    Love GB xxxxxx

    Evening everyone
Managed to read the thread and forgot nearly everything :o:o

So Welcome Newbies, (((Hugs))) to all, look after those babies Pen-Pen.
Sorry to lose your "tour of the UK" mails AussieLass, but know you will be glad to get home and see the new addition.

Amie you must be losing it with the duvet, surely you can think of something better than housework in bed!! :rotfl: :rotfl: if you need a suggestion or two ask MATH.

To those manic tidy VIRGO's have pity of me I am married to one, and I am a manic untidy LEO! who is not into housework. Never mind after 34 years, he has realised that if he wants it doing, to do it himself. :j :j

Well the count down is ticking fast only 8 more working days, totally dis-organised, only thing booked/planned are holidays up to May next year:beer: Trouble is my cleaner is only due twice more   I have to learn how to do housework or worse still IRON again after 20 years!!

    Take care

    Hello all,

Hope everyone is doing fine. Been sunnier today than it has been for a while, which was nice. Life has been going on much as usual with me, only major change being a new (or new to us!) car which we got last week :D It's bigger, so it's taking me a while to get used to driving it, but it's fun!

been catching up on the threads - haven't had a chance to read through them all for a while. Saw this from kyle on saturdays thread:

'Over at mums in afternoon, my brother and squishy were up too, she brought out clothes for me that she is no longer wearing, its great stuff:D mum is going to wash them first though'

Can I just say that they were clean! They just needed freshening up after being stored :D

Need to go put WM on again, and then I think it's time to put the kettle on.

*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...

    Evening all,

I barely get time to read the thread anymore, let alone post!

That's ok though because it's all gone to pot here. Due to the cash flow problem, haven't done a meal plan or anything for ages - haven't even done a proper food shop yet, just buying bits and bobs sporadically. Next month WILL be better, will start doing it all properly again.

I do have a question though - can anyone recomend a mop for laminate floor? I have laminate in my living room and tiles in the rest of downstairs - bought an Addis Superdry the other day and its useless - doesn't even touch the dirt in the kitchen and completely soaks the laminate! I think I might try a Vileda Magic Mop?

I miss OS :( I really want to do it properly, now I have a garden and a MASSIVE freezer. (If I wanted to do it that much, I would have started by now surely??? Stop moaning woman!)

Anyway, hope you are all well, take care

    Hi Squishy

Twink mentioned you were visiting. Good to hear from you. Glad you saw Kyle. Also glad your wardrobe has expanded.

Going over to see DD for a wee while tomorrow - she is feeling rather tired and down! Pre-baby blues I think! Also will take her out to get outfits for the boys. I would rather drive than her at this stage!

Again best wishes and love and hugs to all tonight.

    Evening everyone,

Well this will be my :wave:post as you won't hear from me until early next week. Just checked Singapore weather & it's 32 degrees with 95% humidity . Oh joy. :D We arrive home Saturday night, thankfully to cooler weather as we're into winter. :T Let you all know how we found Singapore so one more installment of the travel diaries left. Lucky you. :D

Donny-gal Not too sure who the new addition is, fingers crossed it's a maid that will do everything I ask. :D

Hope you all have a great week. (((((hugs))))) for everyone tonight. I'm feeling generous. ;) Bon Voyage. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Bye Aussie Lass! So sorry that I missed the chance to meet up with you! It has been great hearing all about your trip over here and in this time frame too. Have a safe journey, looking forward to hearing about Singapore as I used to live there, many years ago! Would love to go back one day to see how much it has changed.
