No I've not tried a snowball calculator yet, will do that tonight. Thanks everyone for your help, I really do appreciate it. I'm so disappointed in myself right now.0

Really I can truly and honestly say I will never gamble again. It's just so much to try and deal with and I don't know what I'm going to do!0

I thought that but after a couple of months I went back to it so I would strongly advise you to get some help before it takes everything from you. I have heard some truly shocking stories of what gambling has done to people as well as my own.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

My main focus now is to try and pay back what I owe and save my marriage, I can't think about anything else other than that.0

Hi, I couldn't just read and run. There is a great resource out there for people who have addictions of all kinds called SMART recovery. You may want to look at their website, if you google smart recovery uk you should be able to find it. Like GA they are a non profit organisation who deals with helping people overcome any sort of addiction from spending to heroin. They have a lot of very helpful tools to help you deal with behaviour and emotional control. Not that Im bashing GA at all, but SMART protocols are based more in behavioural therapy/scientific principles and are great for those who can't really relate to GA. Or even if you find you really love GA, their tools are still freely available and can really help along side any other recovery program. Good luck, you've taken the first step and that is very important.Debt as of March 2018, £794 rent arrears £4273.7 debt, £900.70 in pay day loans, total £5968.40 . Total debt today £5968.40

I really am addressing that problem, I'm going to go to a GA meeting and get help so I never so this again, but my main reason for being her is to get help in paying back my debts.
Im so scared my husband is going to leave me because of this.0 -
Well done for taking the first step and going to GA. I haven't got any advice for you other than to say that I hope your husband (after he has calmed down) can support you in this. As others have said if you really go for it you can pay this off quicker than you think and hopfully with the support of GA this situation will never arise again.
Good luck - you can do this.Determined to save and not squander!

You are doing the right thing and hopefully your husband will see that you are trying to sort your problems out and he will help to support you through them as well.
Everything is still so raw so it is going to take some time for you to both get your head around the situation but well done for taking the first steps as they are often the hardest.
People with ideas about how to clear you debt as quickly as possible will be along soon to give you some tips.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.
