A number of the old style murials were painted over with more respectable ones,im thinking the one showing george best paid for from grants, however in recent weeks the old style ones have returned but im not sure where the money has come from this time.

Apparently the Landlords have painted these at their own expense (having been turned down for funding for it) to try to make the area look a lot less like the sh1thole that it is.... :rotfl:

There should be some sort of Holyland LL tax. They really have turned the place into a sh1thole.

I'm with you on that. With such a small population it should be easy for the authorities to clamp down on these things. I gather we also still have a pretty large police force compared to comparable areas elsewhere. So why not?

There's also the issue of people who live in areas so dominated by gangs. It must be terrible for them. Most people just want to get on with things and enjoy some quality of life but intimidation is a terrible thing and if you're in an estate or something you'd be very vulnerable to the hoods.

Time to stamp them out I say.

    The Holyland is end-to-end students.
Rory left school at 16 and is a muti-miilionaire.
Maybe the "artist" just had a twisted sense of humour in choosing where to put the mural
