I did not say they posted two days ago. If you check their profile you will see they were last online two days ago. Am happy to explain how to do this if you do not know.

Thanks for that jacques chirac, no pointing me to their profile is not required. I thought you meant they posted [active] in the forums two days ago.
    - SP are not, and have not, been active on MSE for some loooong time !

50Twuncle, if you are 'not on benefits' you will be unlikely to get core group, and are likely to have an annual income of £16,190+

Totally untrue- why do you asume that ?
  • Because you said in #3 you are not on any qualifying benefits for the broader group and have already been #1 refused the core group. Just ring them and ask, you have an email addy freom 'jacques chirac', landline and mobile privileged access for existing customers, and the call back from your online account - just ring them and sort it if you have an annual of less than £16,190. WSe can only give a view or opinion - you can get hard facts from SP.

Use the callback I gave in an earlier thread or ring the call centre.

The details for current SP domestic customers :

    Call centre, Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm | Saturday 8:30am - 1pm From a landline 0800 027 0072

Free from BT lines - calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.

    From a mobile use 0345 270 0700
Calls cost no more than calls to 01 or 02 numbers and must be included in inclusive minutes and discount schemes in the same way. Calls from landlines and mobiles are included in call packages.

    Taken from SP website, their criteria for WHD;

Under the Warm Home Discount Rebate scheme, electricity suppliers can offer the Warm Home Discount rebate to households who meet certain eligibility criteria set by their supplier.
If you are a ScottishPower domestic electricity customer and someone in your household meets the ScottishPower Warm Home Discount eligibility criteria, that person can apply for the Warm Home Discount rebate. To qualify for the Warm Home Discount you must receive at least one of the following benefits:
    • Income Support
    • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
    • Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance
or, if the following statement applies you may also qualify
    • Your total gross household income is less than £16,190

In addition to the above you must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

    • Have a child who was under 5 on the 1st of April 2013 permanently living in the house (born on or after 1 April 2008)
    • Have a child entitled to free school meals
    • Receive Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit which includes a disability element or severe disability element, disabled child element or severely disabled child element or family element
    • Income Related Benefit which includes a disabled child premium, disability premium, severe disability premium or enhanced disability premium
    • Income Related Benefit which includes a Carers Premium
    • Employment Support Allowance which includes a Work Related or Activity Component or Support Component
    • Receive Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Attendance Allowance
    • Be aged 62 or over
    • Receives exemption from NHS prescription charges
I qualify without receiving a means tested benefit, as my gross income is under 16,190 and I meet several of the other criteria, ie. DLA. If you can fit the criteria, I suggest ringing SP and asking them to double check, there is a specific number for the WHD team but I can't find it sorry.

Alternatively if you definitely meet the criteria, just complete another application form from the SP website and submit it online.

We qualify under the highlighted criteria above
I have tried reapplying on SP website and it says "ALREADY APPLIED" - Yet SP themselves won't accept my application....

    Thanks - have emailed them....
  • I applied under the same criteria as you with the addition of being 62 or over and, like you, got an reference number.
I eventually managed to speak to someone at Scottish Power yesterday to find out what was happening and got told that as my reference number started with E000 it would happen automatically sometime between now and the end of March 2014. :D
