TBH, the MOT isn't that important for a Terrano.

The chassis are virtually indestructible so, as long as the engine and gear box is OK, it should be fine.

I'm actually a bit tempted by the Vitara i mentioned in the first post because i think they might have made a bit of a boo boo....

It's got high mileage (180k) but I like the boxy retro shape of them, and on their 'about us' section it says..........

Just make sure you buy one with ATs already fitted.

Scooby forester all he way, I so miss mine, it was sure footed and a hoot to drive in the snow, even going past range rovers stuck in the snow one year. You could get 28-29mpg out of it.

If you can up your budget a tad you could do what my friend has just done with his defender, I saw him at the weekend, and he proudly showed off his new engine, not an ancient V8 but a VAG V10 :eek:

Oh my, it was hilarious the way that thing took off from a standing start.

Its getting to that time, great for buying a convertible not so for a winter toy.

However here is a leggy Forester on pistonheads for £1295, and loads on Gumtree in budget.
