If you want credit or want to rent a house then people will look at those numbers and make judgments based on them.
The numbers are (or at least used to be) based on considerable research. One of the bigger agencies used to be part of the group where I had my first job and we had a bit of training in how they worked as part of our induction. At that time though the number was purely for internal use.0 -

But the rating is still unaffected by a small claim if it's paid within 28 days of a judgment, because it does not even show on the register, not even as a 'satisfied CCJ'.

No the numbers are based on wild guesses by the CRAs , each credit provider has their own criteria for giving credit, basically when a credit application is made they look at what you have right now, are you paying on time, are you at the maximum with cards, are you on the voters register, and do you have a ccj, bankruptcy or Iva against you. Then they look at your financial connections.
That is what happens with most credit providers, they don't look at some made up number by CRAs as it's not at all relevant to them. On this situation with the OP it will not be registered if they lose at court, as if settled before 28 days then it's recorded at all. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

He's right. I used to work as a Lending Manager myself. They mean practically nowt and are irrelevant to a fake PCN thread anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello all, happy new year. This morning the RK received claim form court papers from NCC. Can anyone help us? Thanks0
-
Yep, have a look at the thread 'Private parking Ticket? Newbies read this first!' as I have recently added a section about how to defend a small claim, including the invaluable info offered by the 'Parking Prankster' for the price of a cup of coffee (which pays for court transcripts to help others like yourself defend cases). His info is specific to a Parking Eye case but could prove useful information generally.
I see that in November I gave you a link to the LBCCC Fightback thread, which should have enabled you to robustly respond and see this off without court. Would have taken two letters maybe - did you forget to respond a letter? Should never leave the ball in the other side's court and now you are going to need to be very proactive to see this off.
Where is your general court area please? Useful to know where you are in case a pepipooer could help...
Edited as I see this is a Trethowans case, not Parking Eye...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
