Am I being ripped off...!

Out of interest do they have sales targets they have to meet?!
I am guessing they do!0 -
How much did eurocarparts tell you they should be?What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0

about 30...I said this to KWIC Fit, they said its just the price they charge!
and there's nothing quick about them either 3 days in the garage.
KWIK
Well it's er... foreign innit? Takes a while to bulk up the bill such as justifying charging double the price by saying it is 'fitted' but also charging labour. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
They said fitted for £70....Just asked about the disks they said they did not need replacing.
Guess who is never going to KwicFit again...especially at the weekend lol!
a bit strange for them. They're changing everything else except the thing most garages recommend you change together. Discs are about £30 a pair for a clio but to replace them you need to take the wheel off and the callipers, so to replace at the same time as the pads there's no additional labour but to replace on their own you have to do all the work for pads and pay an hours labour charge....0 -
it gets better......
They have now said that the the hub plate might need replacing soon. As it looked knackered and that they would be able to give me a good price on ut. I asked them how this could of happened and they said when some might have forced it off too much when replacing the hub.
They have just replaced the hub is it possible they could have damaged the hub plate?!0 -

have you got the parts they took off? so he admitted they were at fault for being forcefull but wants to charge extra for replacing the hub parts now?
by hub plate does he mean the disc back plate?0 -
They have ripped you off big time here. However you've authorised the work so you are now stuck really.
Spongey brakes are down to air in the system possibly caused by a leak somewhere, although they arnt replacing any brake pipes or master/slave cylinders so probably not that, might just need bleeding and topping up.
brake pads should be ~30 tops - lets face it KF dont fit really good brands so it will be budget stuff
They broke stuff when installing the new hub - they should pay the cost of replacing this broken part
If price continues to escalate, I'd call up another garage, ask them how much they would charge for these things and if acceptable get them to pick up the car from KF on their towtruck and get them to fix it. Pay KW a reasonable price for the work they have already done.GC Jan £431.490/£480.00  £48.51 under budget!0 -

re the hub: From the OP#s earlier post that they said it's "needed because it hasn't been off for a long time" (or someting like that) my bet would be that they sheared a wheel stud hammering it off and are now charging the OP for their incompetence. "We broke it but you replace it, Sir".
Would definitely want to be getting all the old parts back (not just "seeing" them) to get another opinion of their condition / how they've been treated. They belong to you unless any of the new parts were supplied on an exchange basis (which none of those parts would be) so if they refuse to let you have them it's technically theft
