Orange have Sold my 'Non-Debt'

Hi Anoneemoose,
I'm in the process of responding to their defence. One thing that strikes me is that they state that my billing dates as being the the 19th of each month. However, they billed me on the same date (9th) as the 146 call was made which was 10 days prior to the billing date. I don't understand why I was billed early if, as far as Orange was concerned, if 'nothing' had changed in terms of my contract?
Hi.
When you say they billed you on the 9th...do you mean that was when it came out of the bank? Just because the billing date and DD are different. So the bill could have been produced on 19th Nov but debited from the bank on 9th December?
Hope that makes sense!0 -
Every other dd left my bank account on the 19th of each month and their defence confirms this was the billing date each month. Ie My dds were paid 19th January, 19th February, 19th March, 19th April and 9th May (not the 19th May). Coincidentally the 146 transfer call was also on the 9th May. Seems a little strange to me?0

I am a bit stumped now! If you DD date was 19th every month then it is pretty much impossible for your bill date to be 9th. Their systems usually ensure that a DD is set up 15-20 days after the bills are produced so your actual bills would be produced between 1st and 5th every month.
When they say you were billed on 9th for the PAC, it will be because that is the date it was issued and that is the date that will show on the final bill after the pac is used (or not as the case may be here).0 -

It clearly shows on my bank statement dd to Orange EE on the 9th May (not the 19th May). I never received a final bill - but I also never received other letters/bills they are saying they sent!
As this 9th May payment was direct debited fom my account on they same day at they have recorded a transfer to 146 this seems a bit of a coincidence IMO.
Have just sent back my comments re: Orange's defence to CISAS - all 10 pages of it!0 -
Hi Sorry to piggyback this thread but I also have a problem with Orange .
I have never had a debt in my 65 yrs ,now thanks to EE lodging a default my credit score has dropped from excellent to fair -all because I refused to pay them £24 which I disputed.
I won't drag out the full story suffice it to say they I wanted a payg sim & was sold something which I never asked for & then found impracticable to stop. They repeatedly miss this point that I have never received nor signed any agreement yet they tried to hold me to a monthly contract.
I don't like being screwed with by incompetents but if they had shown anything like the ruthless efficiency resolving the issue that they applied to messing up my credit record whilst chasing this paltry sum (now £80),then this would never have occurred.
I have complained to cicas as I was recently declined credit for the first time in my life.0
