  • Just wondering how long i should i expect to wait for popla decision?

Also received a letter today from Roxburge today asking for £160. They also claim that I confirmed I was the driver at the time of the incident " News to me ". Just wondering is it allowed they are asking for money whilst appeal is ongoing?

    Thanks

I would think under normal circumstances popla may give you an appeal date in january but due to xmas its probably feb 2014 as they are closed until 06 jan 2014 anyway

as for the DR , I think I would send a robust defence , deny the debt and refer them back to the creditor seeing as its going to popla (tell them on their bikes as per the NEWBIES thread)

or still ignore as they cannot do anything , only the creditor can

Yes - interesting to see what response you'll get from Debt Recovery though regarding POPLA as we know PCN(NW)Ltd are now under IPC.

Still you could report DRP to the BPA as they are members stating that parking companies are passing the files to Debt collector agencies whilst the appeals process is still underway.

There have been several cases from many different PPC where this is occurring (experiencing now also with several off forum help cases via pms)

And of course complain to the OFT and Financial Obudsman.
  • Thanks.

I will send a email to Roxburghe now and tell them to go back to PCN (NW) LTD due to my appeal ongoing with POPLA. I am not happy with the " WE ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT YOU HAVE CONFIRMED YOU WERE THE DRIVER AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT" somebody's clearly telling fibs.

Yes this is a standard tactic used to try and confirm who the driver is. Make sure that you only write the registered keeper again.

It's a standard letter but rebut the assertion when replying.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

Whoops yes - missed that part off my reply - Thanks CM -
  • Hi j

Just wondered if anybody can help me/ offer advice on what to do

I received a parking ticket in Oct and letter from the same company for same car park this thread is on about.

The reason stated was for parking outside designated parking space - I wasn't causing any obstructions, no yellow lines or anything to say I couldn't park there!

    I ignored and didn't appeal

I have now received a letter from Roxburghe saying they are acting on behalf of PCN (NW) ltd to collect the money

I don't know what to do can I send an appeal to PCN (nw) ltd now or is it too late or should I continue to ignore

worrying that I'm now going to have to pay it

    Thanks for your help

We'll help you by advising you to create your own new thread.

But have a read first of the NEWBIES sticky thread on page 1 of this forum (which is where you'll also fine the New Thread button). A search of this forum for Roxburghe will also show you that they are toothless wonders.

    :)

first thing on your "to do" list is to start your own thread instead of hijacking this older one

go back to the main forum, find the blue NEW THREAD button on the top or bottom left hand side, and click it

    thank you
