Hello everyone, and welcome to the newbies!
I'm a bit late this month, but thanks maddiemay for starting us off again. I am definitely still here for the forseeable future.
I had 6 UU and 1 in last month so the stash is going in the right direction at least. I just need to resist all the shops with their sparkly xmas offerings for the next couple of months!
I will definitely finish 2 shower gels this month as there is only a couple of showers worth left in each and hopefully a body lotion. I also really need to change my mascara so that will be another out.No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Two little UUs for me;
Clarins Hydraquench Cream Mask 15ml - this was a GWP and whilst it was a nice treat I would not go out of my way to buy it.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour Treatment 20ml Sachet - this was one of those 'pink candles' which I was saving, as I don't know of anywhere here that sells it.

Not very impressed by this as I've had or have the products already in there with the exception of a few. Would rather repurchase full sizes or look out for freebies than buy this calendar. Might as well fess up to the Benefit lip gloss INs yesterday that are free with the Elle mag this month. Three to choose from : Dandelion, Hoola and Coralista (half sizes). I ended up touring Stockport looking for all three to find that most places only stocked the copy with Hoola attached. I have kept the dandelion one. So 4 INs already and it's only 4 November!
I'd have really liked one and was swaying towards the idea but it ended up being a total farce, they were meant to go on sale at 12 Noon online, it ended up being something like 2pm with no explanation whatsoever or further warning and apparently according to Twitter they sold out in about 35 seconds which is just ridiculous as they'd know they'd be really popular so why not have a decent amount of stock. Lots and lots of cross people on the FB page, especially those who had the calendar in the basket for it to promptly disappear at checkout. Not a good day for Benefit customer relations I think!! The other annoying aspect is a lot found their way straight onto Ebay - shame people will pay over the odds for them or this would be fruitless for those taking advantage, should've left them to people that actually wanted them! Oh well saved me £50 and the associated guilt :rotfl:0 -
Welcome to all the new folks.
UU
Johnsons baby night shower gel - was on Octobers project pan. I actually didnt mind this - it lathered well and it lasted ages WMBA when i have finished the multitude of shower gel in my stash.
Lush Luxury pud - WMBA not much fragrance but made the bath an amazing colour.

I love Stormy, it looks so dull in the bottle, but fantastic on my nails. I am so tempted by the Leighton Denny Auto Delivery on the TSV, but am trying to say strong, I really need the cash for physio and I am about to sign up with a personal trainer for a few weeks, to help with my lack of strength, so I really, really need to be good.
Welcome to newbies, we are a friendly and helpful little crowd:D
I intend to do my project pan list tomorrow, why I feel the need to open so many products at a time I do not know:eek:
Showered and hair done earlier, but spent all afternoon in my PJ's after a 7.6 mile bike ride, even with power assist it was hard work with the high wind and I am shattered (60+ years and haven't ridden a bike for 18 years - I must be mad):rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Right, I have looked at the first post so now I know what a UU is. Ready to post some action the.
Two UUs to report today.
First is a 50ml clarins 'relax' bath and shower gel which was one of a few freebies I got ith some recent purchases from the Clarins website. Bath is running as I type and it smells lovely.
Second is a bottle of Palmer's Cocoa Butter skin therapy oil. I have had this bottle unopened for ages but have used it twice a day in the last few weeks and my skin is very much softer as a result. Will definitely buy again once I aphave used up all my bin-ends of body lotion and the like. Have found I product I really love there.
Nothing 'in' today, but am tempted by some of the free-with Glamour / Elle etc bits and bobs that others have purchased about.November NSDs @ 3/11 = 1
Pounds lost with SW 4/11 = 6.0
November No Unecessary Toiletries Challenge = £2.49. 4UUs, 1 in
November Grocery Challenge £115 / £1500 -

Yeah I heard about this, sounds like a disaster! They could have really cashed in and had lots of the calendars to sell. They must have known it would have been popular. I was slightly tempted but more because I would have liked the excitement of having something new, beauty related every day :rotfl: the price massively put me off though. Plus I already have a lot of the products and 3 of the items were naff, if that makes you feel any better (a bracelet, necklace, and a hair clip)
I'm impressed with your bike ride maddiemay - feel exhausted just thinking about it :rotfl:
Welcome marble madness, I too am tempted by the Elle and Glamour freebies. Goodness knows why as I have a ton of nail polish and don't really like lip gloss!
Forgot to report a UU yesterday:
178: Home made soap - not sure what this was to be honest! Left it in the bathroom and it was promptly UU :T0 -
I have to confess to a tossed today. I love the smell of citrus.
Sommerset & Asquith Orange and Grapefruit Body lotion. 250 ml. Smelt fab. BUT it made me itch. It's also a very wet body lotion. I'd used it before with no problem but I've been itchy since I opened this set (yes, I have the matching shower gel on the go). It finally clicked this morning that it's the body lotion. So it's gone. I'm thinking of putting the body wash into a soap dispenser.
So I've opened a Body Shop Satsuma body lotion for my citrus fix.
Oh, Benefit's advent calendar has been under discussion on a forum I belong to and most people felt it's overpriced and not a great selection. Most of the items have been in TopBox this past year and were deemed small samples. I'm not really into Benefit creams and primers. So, if anybody wants a random assortment PM and I will mail them when I'm in Spain in February.0 -
I more UU squeezed in (or out?) before bedtime. Elvive nutri gloss crystal sparkling shampoo. Dog end of a big bottle. Nice enough product but didn't do anything ultra-wow for my hair. Probably better on long sleek, locks than my curly mop.November NSDs @ 3/11 = 1

INs:
Elemis shampoo, conditioner and shower gel mini and a soap bar. I went on a spa weekend with my mum and these were in the room waiting for us
UU:
Aveda rosemary mint shampoo and rosemary mint conditioner - WBA, the scent is nice
elemis hand cream mini - wba if on offer
Susan Posnick foundation (FINALLY!) - WNBA far too expensive, the in built brush constantly sheds and it made my open pores look really noticeable.
balance me shower gel - wbna, i don't like the texture
clinique super city block - HG i love this stuff0
