HELP!!! I went to a zombie fancy dress thing yesterday, and we quickly realised yesterday that the fake blood stains. I need to remove the red stains before work tomorrow, does anyone have any tips? I'd say it's similar to red food dye stains.
Any help appreciated, otherwise I'll just get ready for my fifth shower...0 -

just looked at the LIB advent calendar, disapointing as a lot of stuff the same as last year, most of which is still in my stash as ended up buying 3!!!tip last year they reduced them after the initial sale0 -
Look away if you don't want to be tempted.... but just caught a glimpse of the Benefit advent calendar that goes on sale at noon today.... OMG it looks fab! Must resist..... I think its about £50, which does work out good value but I don't NEED it!!0

Ooo - just seen that there is a really good Groupon for a body shop voucher today. £15 for a £30 voucher, plus free LYB card (mine expired in Sept) and if you spend £40 (before the voucher) you also get a free hand cream.
I wonder if they have anything for stain removal :rotfl:0 -
I would be very very happy to join you savers this month. Over the last couple of months I have been on a very enjoyable but seriously unaffordable beauty splurge.
I have enough nice products to run my own business, so nothing non basic and essential for me u til I've made good use of them and run out.
I am staying out of the hairdressers and beauty clinic for the month too.November NSDs @ 3/11 = 1

First November UU for me.
8) Celine Dion Belong body lotion. This was an unwanted gift from someone who got it as an unwanted gift. If I wasn't trying to save money I would have chucked it. Instead, I used it on days I wasn't going out as I couldn't bear to go out ponging of this disgusting stuff.0 -
Mini, Vinegar and bicarb takes food dye off, which is what I suspect the fake blood is.
I resisted temptation with the Avon brochure though ordered presents for others.
Last month I UU'd two items from Project Pan, foot cream and shower gel.
This month it's:
1. What remains of the Lush Seanik solid shampoo. It's in 1cm x 1cm bits now, but just one small bit produces enough lather for a shampoo or two. Lasted a darn sight longer than their 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner Godiva bar did, which has large chunks in it and disintegrated within weeks.
I couldn't remember what Godiva was called, searched and found a Lush video which showed an American 'Lushee' washing her long hair by tangling it on top of her head, argh, argh.
Despite my feelings on Lush atm, I left a polite comment that this was Not The Best Way To Wash Long Hair - or even shortish hair - and how to wash it long. (Brush hair and detangle beforehand, wet it without touching it, then 'wash it long', work shampoo through long hair as if it was a piece of cloth you are sponging down, rinse and condition/rinse again in same way. )
2. Dove shampoo, think there's about five washes left.
3. Andrew Collinge Colour Therapy Conditioner. I may have to give the Volume Therapy one away, or ration use, as my hair doesn't seem to get on with it after 2-3 consecutive uses.
4. Avon Magix Face Perfector. Keep forgetting to use this and it is lovely imo, I just battled with myself not to replace it as it's being withdrawn by Avon.
It's really a make-up base but as my skin doesn't 'do' foundation (it looks better without it), it isn't essential that I use this rather than the other skincare I have.
Welcome newbies!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Thank you Mcculloch29 for the tip about the signiature.
I have my first UU to report - 15ml. Lulu Time Bomb neck cream. I came with a box of award winners from LIB. WIBA? Maybe, it did make a difference, but I have to use other items first! I realised a side effect of this thread is reviews for products as well.
Spent a couple of hours cleaning my Brand New Bathroom which looked clean but wasn't! It was only finished on Friday. Can now move in some of the toiletries I need to use up, as I now have more cupboards!

really need some exfoliating face stuff but mine (Clarins) costs £28:eek:) and the coffee makier died today:(no idea why when I paid £55 for it 18 months ago(sadly on 1 year guarantee)that all the ones I looked at online now cost over £100:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:vital to our "happy" home!so OH picking new one up tomorrow(£130:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:)....early Christmas pressie to ourselves?
OH gone for a swim so painting(over as too lazy to take off) pedi from two weeks ago as dance this weekend then a night away(should be interesting!)
This is probably too late but our local Sainsbury's had reduced the Tassimo machines to half price. Of course the pods are not that cheap to buy but may be worth considering.
My gellish pedi is still going strong 3 weeks later so very pleased. There's obviously some regrowth at the base of the nails but no chipping. Would like to keep this up but MrM pulled a face at the price and it would be likely to be doubled as I'd take Emma as well.
Have just repainted my finger nails and am wearing Revlon Stormy which I haven't worn for ages but am really liking. I see there's a Leighton Denny TSV today on QVC plus it's Beauty Day however am trying not to watch. (Not difficult really as I am Playstation widow again as MrM has the new Battlefield game).Hello Ladies
I've decided to post here again after a nearly 2 year gap. I joined at the beginning of 2011 and managed to get my stash right down, but not quite, to nothing, though I didn't post much - just lurked and used you as inspiration. However as soon as the stash was down, I felt entitled to buy and now have another stash of 205 items! I'm not including boring stuff like toothpaste and deodorant which I have to buy anyway!
So, here we go again, and this time I'll try to post regularly. Trying to use stuff up will hopefully mean that I'm sticking to grooming and skincare routines as well.
Good luck to us all - and keep pampering, not shopping!
PS how do I add a signiature?
Welcome back. I went AWOL for a while and found that I fell off the wagon. Am not a paragon of virtue by any stretch of the imagination but am pleased that my stash is very diminished since Christmas last year (my last great influx) so don't punish myself too much.Sundaysgirl wrote: »Thanks for starting us off maddiemay!
I'm in again, especially after the failure that has been October - very expensive! My plan for November is no bought ins as there is absolutely nothing that I need. Can I do it?!
I'm going to add a Project Pan list too once I've given it some thought and had a dig around the bathroom cabinet!
I've counted up my INs and OUTs from last month and they were more or less equal : 14 INs and 15 OUTS. Sadly not all the INs were needed ie lipstick/lip crayons/soap and if I had counted up what I had actually spent (including hair appointments, pedicure and eyebrow shaping) I'm sure the INS would definitely outweigh the OUTs.
I love the Project Pan idea and am now going to try and put together a list of 10 items as I've been working on 5 so will come back later with this.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
