I'm taking mine (Ozzie the lab, almost 3 years old) to the beach for possibly (we've only had him 6 months) his first time in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see his reaction, he loves swimming.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Maisie and I are very, very lucky - we have some fabulous beaches around here and, in the summer, go every day
She was really funny when I got her (she'd obviously never been to the beach) and wouldn't walk on it  - took her a while to get the hang of it but she absolutely LOVES it now!
I love going Sept/Oct - March/April time - as we quite often have the whole beach to ourselves
Not a good pic of her - but shows us enjoying "our" beach

Harder in the winter due to the dark mornings / nights, but we do go at the weekends (and looking forward to tomorrow - beach above is too far for everyday but it's our Sunday treat so .... fingers crossed it's not pelting down again!)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I love it to, although I need to find a quieter beach, we are about a 40 minute drive from the Ayrshire coast in Scotland but most beaches there ( Ayr, Troon etc) are heaving with people in the summer, I think there are some quieter ones on the West Coast but need to seek them out
Suppose if I went today it would have been quiet but it was cold and wet enough here !!0 -

Whitley bay is my local beach, Lenny loves it. There's a few within a few miles of each other. Tynemouth longsands, Whitley bay and Seaton Sluice beach, all lovely long stretches!
Not many people around this time of year unless it's a fine day!0 -
Since the clocks changed I've been getting up 30mins earlier in the morning so the girls can go out and if there's no other dogs about they can go off lead. At night we can still walk round our local park as some of the paths are lit up and I put them on flexi leads but we love our early morning walks (bit nippy but lovely sunshine at the mo). Been a bit emotional this year though as lost my big lad in August and he hated walking in the dark so have been think of him lots when me and the girls go on our evening walk.sA home is not a home ..... without a dog
