I have personally received very good service from capital one.
They did a chargeback for me when Peacocks went into administration.
They also paid out on a section 75 claim (strike) where they said I wasn't covered but they did it as a goodwill gesture.
Peacocks went in to administration? I must have been living under a rock, or just not a shopper of peacocks0 -
The cashback will be based on the MCC of the outlet so as long as they come up as 5411,5541 and 5542 then cashback should be applied to all purchases. Sub shops and concessions within a main shop will likely have their own MCC applicable to what they are selling. You will not get cashback in Aldi as they are not "grocery stores, supermarkets" but use 5399 "Misc. General Merchandise". There are many threads on here where posters tell of their cashback being applied to the whole spend in a petrol station including the wine, cigs, sweeties and newspaper because of the 5541 MCC "Service Stations ( with or without ancillary services)". Do metros etc use a different MCC, 5499 maybe, "Misc. Food Stores – Convenience Stores and Specialty Markets" ? Tesco Direct, as mentioned for no cashback in their text, use 5999 "Miscellaneous and Specialty Retail Stores".
You can't use a CC in Aldi any way0 -
I got the same on Saturday but have just been accepted with £1.5K, asked for the £500 - £1K, pity I am not going to use it all though
DD now set up for full balance. Surprised with being given the full whack as that takes my credit card availability to 175% of my annual income but hey-ho, they must know what they are doing, will net me £6.75 a month over using my standard Cap1 card if managed correctly, just have to remember 2 Cap1 log ins.
From another thread on here
I pay whatever I can on plastic. No matter how small (so long as there's no charge)
I mean at the bare minimum, I always get 0.5% cashback0 -

Will make it work with a mid month FP, looks a bit like Aqua cashback who assigned low limits, but manageable if you are organised. The cynic in me thinks they hope to cash in on people exceeding their limit, and also limiting the amount of cashback they actually pay out.
sorry, what's an FP?0 -

Haha, don't like my chances. Simply because I've recently applied and been accepted for the Aqua Advance card. Thought it'd be a nifty little thing to have (no fees for foreign use!) seeing as I'm going abroad soon.
Yay, got the email today along with my credit limit and online login details. I have a limit of £1000 - very pleased!
Just waiting for the card now!0 -

Can you [or somebody?] please direct me to where in the Terms & Conditions it explains exactly where and in what circumstances the 4% cashback will be given? I can't find it.Rebates
You will be enrolled in the Capital One rebate programme. For the first £225 worth of Purchases at Supermarkets and Fuel Stations applied to your account in each statement period you will receive a rebate of 4%. "Supermarket" includes, but is not limited to Marks & Spencer, Asda, Iceland, The Co-operative, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Somerfield, Tesco, Ocado, Farmfoods, Lidl and Waitrose and their online grocery shopping websites. Purchases at concessions within Supermarkets, Metro and Local Supermarkets, Supermarket branded outlets in service stations and railway stations, and Supermarket branded stores and websites for whom grocery shopping is not the main activity (for example Tesco Direct) may not be eligible for a rebate. "Fuel Station" includes, but is not limited to those operated by Supermarkets, BP, Esso, Shell and Texaco. Each rebate will appear on your January statement and will be credited to your account in January unless we notify you of another method. No rebate will be paid to you if at that time you are in default under the terms of this agreement. However the amount of that year's rebate will accrue and may be payable in a following year. No rebate will be payable if this agreement is terminated or your account is closed.
