I have the new Luma card but like most people here my Aqua card is ending in January.

What card should I replace the Aqua with?

Unfortunately the 2 AMEX cards are out as I have just cancelled my Platinum everyday as I got it last November for Christmas 2012.

Is the Capital One 0.5% the only other real option?

Sorry ... what do you mean by "My aqua card is ending in January"?

I have an aqua card, and have not heard anything yet ... though I see they've not taken new applications for a while.

Aqua are sending letters out saying the 3% card is being withdrawn in January.

I'll admit I have not had a letter either but it seems a fair few have so I'm assuming I will receive the same letter soon.

Yes thanks, I thought I'd better search after my knee jerk reaction to ask what you meant.

    Shame!

I particularly liked earning 3% with no foreign transaction fee abroad ...!

Do Luma cards taken out now still have the 4% cashback?

There seems to be no mention of it on their website any more, either in the FAQs, Terms & Conditions or Summary. And the link to 'Rewards' at the top of the page is conveniently down.

Nor do I see it mentioned in my 'Welcome' brochure. I'll have to see what else I received from them. I've got everything but the card itself, so I can't test-drive it.
  • I have been turned down for a few things and I always believe that my credit rating was good. (Loans, Bank Accounts and Credit Cards) I think sometimes the things that you don't think effect you do. Just because your not going to spend up to the £1000 limit on a next account or have forgotten about it doesn't mean that the new lender doesn't.

Luma currently offer at least 2 credit cards, the cashback card is available through a specific url (http://www.luma.co.uk/cashback-credit-card-ctrl/) only, not linked to from the main website. I'd guess the 'welcome' brochure might be a general one for all their cards.

Hmm, I hope I used the right link.....

No way of telling at the moment, though I can always message them via the online account.

Still waiting on a decision from 6/11.

Never had to wait for a decision before and I just want to know :P

Just saw the fact the Aqua Reward is closing too! Looks like I'll be keeping the Classic Extra then as a backup for when my Amex isn't accepted..

    Rats. I liked the 3%.

OOI, has anyone had their card yet? My application was accepted last Thursday, I haven't received online sign-in details yet, but I might have ticked the 'no' box on that one, I'm unsure.

I have learned that, when applying for financial products online, it is best to take screen shots of each stage before you click "submit" or "next", keeping them safely in a word processing file. You then have evidence for having selected online access, no marketing material or whatever. It takes a little longer but worth it for reassurance.
