Yes the support links are there - but no sign of the spec/details of the machine itself - price from Medion etc.....

For what specs are you looking? They are already post #29

That does seem more than adequate for my needs
What about "cheapestelectrical" - never heard of them
Any experience of buying from them ?

Oh for goodness sakes...just buy the thing. If it was dodgy, I would not have posted it.

I take it that "classic shell" does not get rid of the REPUGNANT tiles from Win 8 ?

Instead of the Medion from Cheapest Electrical - I decided to splash out on a half decent spec Asus from Argos (£599) - it is an i5 powered 17" inch monster with 8Gb RAM and 1Tb HDD - It is quick - but I am considering dumping Win 8 - I can't get my head round its "QUIRKS"
It took me half an hour before I managed to find how to power it down And as for the location of the programs !!
I am trying to update it to Win 8.1 to see if that helps but I prefer Win 7
Is there an official downgrade path to Win 7 on OEM ?
I have installed Classic Shell - but am uncertain whether it will stay or not - it does appear to offer some respite to the Win 8 panel/desktop
