    Hello

Thanks for all the replies it really does help to keep me on track. I'll have a look at doing another thread for fibromyalgia it sounds like a good idea.

Just updated my signature 4% paid of now :D so that's another 1% sorted. Feels really good, next month is going to be much easier as i'm in the swing of things, and indeed much more aware of where my money is going. I even had a little extra for debt payment this month, £10.00 not much but it all helps, and much better than overspending.

Looking forward to this weekend, I have decided to ban housework, and do nice crafting things. As I have cut the Christmas present budget, I have been making things from my existing craft stash to add to the gifts, so far I have honey hand melts, cinnamon hand melts, and rose bath melts, so maybe some soap making this weekend, and some crochet, I'm making my Sister a crochet snowdog :).

Hope everyone else has a great weekend

Good idea! I guess I kind of assumed there already was something. That's Fibro foggy brain for you. *sigh*.

    Hi,

So payday today, I was paid incorrectly last month, so have that back this month so can pay £1100 of the OD so now the OD is down to £1400 which brings me into a lower interest rate, so will give me a little more for Debt payment this month.
So total paid back is now 12% :D so pleased.

Popped out at lunch today to Sainsbury, and they had Hot Chocolate Gifts on special offer 1/3 off, so last two Christmas presents sorted, normally I would spend the amount saved on an extra gift, but decided not to this time, (that's Headabovewaters influence :D) it's only for this year, and the gifts are worth the full price. The extra will of course be going towards the debts.

pickledtink I'll pm you and lets see if we can get a thread set up.

Hope everyone is having a great day

Hi Fae! Sounds like things are going well. I'm about to start Christmas shopping too now I've been paid, and I have to admit it is really easy to say 'Oh well I budgeted £20 for a present for X, and since I only spent £15 I must buy something else!'. I'm going to take your idea of putting the 'leftover' towards debt. :)

Good luck with the fibromyalgia support thread.

    Hi All,

So a little update, I have paid the Dec credit card bills, as the biggest amount I pay each month at the moment is to my overdraft, it doesn't do much to the overall total, but every little helps. We got an unexpected bonus from work this year, £100 shopping vochers so that's helped the total come down. :D

Also OH Van insurance has come up for renewal, we were going to get rid of his van as insurance was costly, he thought he had to pay commercial rates due to it being a van rather than a car, but luckily I wasn't so sure, so got a few quotes and found as long as he doesn't need business use, which he doesn't now, he can have a standard policy so instead of paying £67 a month we are now paying £20.01 a month, so a massive saving. So he is giving me the saving to put towards debt payment which with a few other things, (car tyres not being as expensive as I thought, cutting back on Christmas and Birthday presents) we can now take another month of our debt free date, and will be fully paid back by 10th September 2014, so just under 9 months, which just feels so great.:D So determined to keep focussed and get there this time.

Hope everyone else is having a great day

    Hello All

    Happy new year.

So I have started the new year by saving OH £112 on his breakdown cover, by getting him to transfer to another provider, and getting rid of part of the cover that he really dosen't need. Very pleased with that one.

I will be sorting out a few payments over the next few days so should be able to update the signature soon. So excited that 2014 is the year where the dates get paid off, feels so close now.:)

Christmas was interesting this year, I noticed that other relatives had spent more on presents for me than I had for them, I did try to broach this at the begining of the year, suggesting that we just do one gift as we are all at an age where we really don't need piles of presents (if indeed we ever did), but this didn't go down well, so I decided I would just spend what I felt comfortable with and not feel pressured in matching others spends (hope that doesn't sound mean). I did feel a little guilty, but just reminded myself I did try, I may try again later this year, as even when the debts are gone, I would like to keep a sensible rein on my spending and that's one area I really think could be addressed.
