Hello all,
Did really well on Saturday only spent £13.25 including a drink for my Mum and myself, so very pleased with myself. My Mum did buy a couple of bits for me a Christmas presents which really helped, as I don't feel I missed out at all.
Renewed the car insurance this morning, managed to find a policy with better cover that is £16 less a month,so off to update my spreadsheets now to see what effect that will have.
I will try and get an SOA on here over the next few days, as will be good to see what people make of it.

Ok so finally done our SOA,
The Garage amount is from when OH worked for himself, he is clearing this and should be able to hand back keys in Dec so hopefully will be of our SOA in Jan.
Mobiles again OH is on a high contract due to working for himself, £47.00 a month, we will changed this when his contact ends but think he has about another year.
Car insurance, OH currently has a van, again from working for himself, insurace on this is very high, but we have already planned to get reid of the van in Feb/March time (just want to use the tax we have paid for) and he will replace with a car using the money he gets for selling the van, this will bring down insurance, and hopefully tax and petrol.
I don't think we are doing too badly and we have already identified some cuts.

Morning Fae - How was your weekend? X2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.
2017. Lets start this again shall we?

Hi
Well it's been a busy weekend, I now have a tentative diagnosis of fibromyalgia for my health problems, so at least I now know whats going on, in a funny sort of way it's a relief as I was begining to think it was all in my mind. Anyway onwards and upwards.
How daft of me to forget to put in my debt payments
TSB - £17
Tesco - £130
Barclays - £50
RBS - £27
Then everything else on the overdraft, as that has the highest rate of interest.
HeadAboveWater i can see just where you are coming from with those outgoings, £30 of the present money will only be until Feb, as after then all family birthdays etc are over for another year, and as the debt will be paid of before next Christmas I won't need to save anything. The other £25.44 is an amount OH pays for his Mum's phone and internet. All debts other then OH loan were pre him, and he has only asked for two things for himself each month, I get the rest of his salary towards Bills and debt, so I really don't begrudge him this.
Clothing think I went a little mad there, I do need some more work shoes next month (soles are falling of the current ones) but after that there isn't anything else I truly need so that can go towards the debts.
Holiday OH had a campervan before we meet, and this covers all costs, MOT, Tax, Petrol etc, and it's the only other thing that we both really want to keep hold of, so I have allowed for this in the budget.
Entertainment I have cut this to £30 a month, being realistic I have to have something in here, as we will want to go out occasionally.
Oh has some overtime in Dec, and has already said I can have that towards the Debts so that will really help, so we will get there slowly but surely.

Seeing this it's becoming clear that we need to bring people together with a dedicated fibromyalgia thread. This hideous debilitating condition is recognised in NHS but pretty much dismissed! What is worse is that there are genuine working things to do but no guides. Grrr! Please PM me if you are a sufferer and want to collate and share information.Living on Earth can be expensive, but it does include an annual free trip around the Sun.0 -

:)

Absolutely! We all need a bit of that to keep us sane! Hence why I said rethink, not necessarily cut out!
Sounds like you're well on top of things. Keeping a track of every penny spent is good. Even if you're still spending, you're very aware of what's leaving your pocket, and what's left (if any!! lol)
Glad to hear you've now a diagnosis. Of sorts at least. Yes, do start a thread on that. For yourself as much as othersWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
