I more a less spend the same as the above poster.
I can quite easily spend 3k a year on takeaways & meals out which is around £60 a week.0 -
I would think mine would be a minimum of £400 a month, if not nearer £550 tbh!
I can easily spend £100+ on a night out! especially when cabs are involved.0 -

About £50 a week on takeaways/snacks.
About £70 a week on meals out.
Maybe £25 a week going to see a show/theatre/cinema
So, about £140-£150 a week on entertainment. In this day and age of seeing a high proportion of people around here struggle to find a quid or two for lunch, I find that quite embarrassing.0 -
Looking back on my life so far, I can honestly say that the very best fun times that I have ever had (and there have been many) were all completely and utterly free!
Spending on entertainment is another matter...“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
I try to spend under £25 per week but it varies. Sometimes (like this weekend) its a lot more, dinner, drinks & hotel sometimes a bottle of wine & woops dinner makes it come in under. Clothes shopping I generally spend a lot but 'buy to last' a few hundred pounds but lasts for months. Tbh I don't really know for sure. I have a bills account so money in my main account are for spending and if i dip into saving I try to repay them and limit spending. I wouldn't count work expences as they are reimbursed.0

My husband and I together have a budget of £35/month and that includes hobbies, special occasions, gifts and what we call "pocket money".
We don't eat out at all due to healthy reasons, we watch movies online for free (Youtube etc).
At the moment we're trying to save for a house down payment so we can't afford spending a lot on this category.
If it helps, Dave Ramsey...an American financial guru suggests a budget guideline as follows:
Savings - 5-10%
Housing - 25-35%
Utilities - 5-10% (I don't think they have council tax in USA)
Food - 5-15%
Transportation - 10-15%
Clothing - 2-7&
Medical/health - 5-10% (Might be much lower here in UK)
Personal - 5-10%
Recreation - 5-10%
Debts - 5-10%
Charitable gifts - 10-15%
Good luck!0 -

I budget £60 per week for all non-essential things, pub mainly. However due to my love of drinking I ALWAYS go over budget, sometimes double.
I should probably look at my budget - or my drinking.0 -
I tend to go for between £300 to £350 a month, and same for h2b, but it does vary...from sept to November it's more like £200 as we tend to go out a lot more in December (money completely separate from Xmas savings) so we have a few quiet months before hand.
When I get paid, I draw a mini budget for each month incorporating any 'special' meals (like steak which we do t get in the weekly shop), any special occasions or events that I have already committed to, any things that I actually NEED - then a percentage goes into savings and the rest, I take out in cash, give fifty quid for h2b to keep for the last week of the month. If I have any left, not goes into the treats pot.
Money goes on meals out, beer, cigarettes (I know!) the odd takeaway, more beer and recreational travel (I don't drive for medical reasons)....I also really love cooking and will buy special ingredients outside of our usual household shop. Also, we don't go on a big holiday, just weekends away which come out of this too.
I used to do it on twenty quid a week though.....0 -
Probably about £400 a month...
