How much do you have for fun?

Hi,
I know this will be dependant on everyones own situation, however was just wondering how much people allow themselves for spending money to cover items such as going out, drinks, cinema, takeaways, non food shopping etc.
Basically i guess i am looking to see what people allow themselves/or would allow themselves if they could afford it, to spend on the fun stuff once all the bills have been paid.
Cheers

Fun money is what's left after all the necessary outgoings and anything that I want to put away for savings.
How much it is depends on all those variables, but fun comes after paying what needs to be paid and what wants to be saved.0 -
Thanks Dirk.
as my original post i know it is dependant on everyones own situation, however curious to see what people allow themselves, or what people think is a reasonable amount to budget for this.0 -

I am currently working up my new budget after a period of mad money spending due to wedding/honeymoon and moving house etc, so i have currently put down £175 a month for me and £175 a month for the OH, but unsure if this is realistic, high compared to others, low compared to others or what!!!
Cheers0 -
High I would say. But it depends on what all you are including in it.
You need to be more specific.0 -
Unless you are able to compare all financial indicators (short and long term savings, regular outgoings, debts, investments, pension provisions, family commitments and plans etc) of somebody else with your situation, you are completely kidding yourself if you think you need to peg your "fun" budget to somebody else's.0

I am only really thinking about stuff that pay for once all the bills are paid.
So going out for drinks, cinema, buying non essentials, coffee's, takeaways etc, all the after bill luxuries i guess.0 -

Cheers for that helpful post Archi, im not kidding myself on that i NEED to do anything.
I am just simply asking what people allow themselves for fun, and/or what people think is a reasonable allowance?0 -
I reckon we spend £175 each a year. Does my climbing wall membership count? That's £35 a month.0
