Lee i was with vodafone for 20 years....to be honest the reason I left wasn't because of cost....it was because of customer service....the people in the shops don't want to know you unless you are buying something. And on the phone it just takes ages to get through to anybody that can solve a problem.
Sorry0 -
Lee,
Can you tell me how I can transfer the balance on my Two Data Sims (non-expiring) to my PAYG Vodafone Sim. At least that way I can use my credit up rather than just loose it.
Cheers
I have done this via the vodafone online chat. I was initally trying to register my non expiring data sim so I could get into the account online (the data sim couldn't receive texts so wouldn't register) so they asked me for my mobile number and I was put through to the right department, chatted to the man and he said I could transfer the credit from my data sim to a vodafone phone sim. He also said you woudn't lose the credit already on there in Jan 2014, they would just take out £5 per month or whatever to keep it going, so it would slowly trickle away.
I ordered a 99p sim online and had it the next day. I used chat again, the first person I talked to didn't really get what I wanted to do but put me through to someone who did, he transferred the credit with no problems, I just had to write the number on the data sim, and answer security questions from my phone sim.
Data sim is shredded now, had 1gb on there still til Jan 2014 but couldn't be bothered with it.
I don't use vodafone as my mobile provider, so its hard to find something to spend the credit on (I have £86 on it, topped it up a lot when I had spare money and didn't use it much!)0 -

I'll phone them up and see if I can transfer the credit (about £18) onto my PAYG Vodafone sim, its an old one that you just top-up and the credit goes down when you make a call / text (but have to use it every few month to keep it active). I just have it in an old phone in my car incase I breakdown etc. so I don't understand where the £5 a month comes into it. I hardly use it so already have about £15 on it, but the £18 is better on there for me to use rather than in Vodafones profits for nothing.
Also I have an Ovivo Data sim and I find the data speed is slower than the Vodafone data sim, but there are both on the Vodafone network...0 -
Hello Lee,
why, stop the change of the non-expiring data sims to expiring ones! Simple
:rotfl:
Hi MikeWhite,
If the change to our PAYG Mobile Broadband plans is the only reason you're looking to leave us I'm afraid there's nothing I can do for you.Lee,
Can you tell me how I can transfer the balance on my Two Data Sims (non-expiring) to my PAYG Vodafone Sim. At least that way I can use my credit up rather than just loose it.
