GAH I have lost sweet FA. I'm running 3/4 times a week, watching what I eat and NOTHING. ARGHH.

So what have I gone and done? Ordered a dress that's a size ten, I'm a 12 right now, so 4 months to slim.... I just don't know what I'm doing wrong!

    Hi there,

I'm getting married in June this year and am 10st 10lbs and only 5 foot 1inch :/ I have put on 2 stones in 5 years, I am just hoping it won't take 5years to lose it!!!!

I started at the end of last year and got down to 10st 5lb.... thenChristmas happened.... I don't exercise and it is tooooo cold and dark outthere to do any running even if i had the inclination!

I do however have a Wii fit board... does anybody use this and if you use itproperly do you think it will work?

24lbs... in 24 weeks... Hmm... I think that is cutting it close!!!!
  • Managed to cut out the junk and takeaways and eat a little bit more fruit and salad and I've lost 3 of the 6 pound I put on over Xmas this week :) so hopefully can do the same this week :) xxx

Now that Christmas is out of the way I've started shedding for my wedding too.

Getting married at the end of March and currently tipping the scales at 15 stone 12 so hoping to lose a stone between now and then.

Not actually following an official diet but making sensible changes like stopping snacking, swapping Egg and Bacon breakfast rolls for cereal or toast, getting a sandwich or soup at lunch instead of an actual meal in the canteen and for evening dinner i'm cutting back on red meat, potatoes and pasta in favour of fish, chicken, cous cous and rice as well as adding a bit more fruit and veg to my food.

Also started cycling to work 3 days a week which works out at 45 miles.
  • Im not putting my weight its rather more than a lot of people eek

im just in from my third run on the couch to 5k. Feeling rather rotten so oh had to bully me to run in the cold wet dark scottish night. But i did it

weight loss on saturday was 9 pounds but as i said i had weighed myself at worst time so i would have a good first weigh in. Feeling rather proud ive done my running 3 times now.
  • Try a tape measure instead of the scales as a progress chart :)

Well, I had my first weigh in last night. Have decided to weigh myself every fortnight rather than every week.

Was expecting to weigh roughly the same as I've only done a week of cycling and we did eat out last weekend to celebrate the anniversary of me proposing. Also went to the cinema with a few mates to watch Anchorman and indulged of the pick and mix.

So, was actually quite shocked to see that I've gone from 16.1 to 15.5 for a whopping 10lb loss.

I've not dropped below the 16 stone mark in over 5 years and have probably averaged closer to 17 stone with me almost hitting 18 at one point so was very shocked but also pleased!

That's amazing Andy - well done! I'm not weighing in until the 31st.

Walked to work 3 times this week, went for 2 runs and did 2 aerobic/strength training work outs.

Big plans for sunday, a 5k run and then another workout.

I'm going to start running home from work a few nights a week too soon, I have more time in the evenings to run further, but when I get home going back out is tough. Running home is my best bet to actually do it.
  • had my first exercise related injury today. went for a run and went over my ankle and nearly landed head first in the middle of a main road. not a good idea lol. had to cut my run short but will try again tomorrow if its better.
  • I've started SW, the weight is coming off slowly but this may have something to do with the antibiotics that I have been on! Can't wait to get rid of them and be able to loose more! Aiming for as much veggies and fruit as I can this week!
