I'm probably going to get a lot of unhappiness for posting this, but I really feel compelled to. For those of you who are 'scale-watching'. Stop. Now.

This article does a pretty good explanation of why the numbers on the scale mean nothing in terms of how healthy you are and how THIN you are. Seriously. NOTHING.

By all means, exercise. It's awesome, and will be good for your body in the long run. And by all means focus on having a healthy balanced diet - also good in the long run. But turn away from the scales, because they tell you nothing.

Agreed, I think I said something similar a few pages back :)

Oh I agree, I don't really care about the scales now at all, I just like to weigh myself just to see, It's not getting me down anymore, because I can see the changes that working out and eating well is making to my body. I feel happy about my legs for the first time in years!

I'm 5 foot 9 and in the last 3.5 years, since meeting my OH, I have managed to creep up from 11.5 stone to 14 st 6 lbs

However, I have managed to lost 11 lbs in the last 5 weeks though :), so now 13 stone 9lbs.

I'm getting hitched on the 12th July, so would love to get down to 12 stone BUT realistically, I will be happy with getting in to a size 14 comfortably, so I imagine that would be about 12 st 9lbs? I'm going to leave it til the last minute ish (about a month before maybe) to get a dress.

    Anyway....wish me luck!

Another 3lb dropped for me this week bringing me up to exactly 1 and 1/2 stone since January 1st.

Only 3 weeks until the wedding and now weighing in at 15 stone dead.

My original target was to get down to between 15-15 1/2 so beaten that quite comfortably. Would be nice to get below 14.10 but as i've got my stag this weekend which is going to involve lots of alcohol I don't think that will be possible!

As expected, my stag do impacted quite severly on my weight loss with me putting on a rather gluttonous 5 lbs...

Thankfully, it was very much a 'spike' as I managed to get rid of the whole 5lb when I weighed in yesterday.

So, still dead on 15 stone with 8 days until the big day. Going to weigh myself this time next week and i'd like to get down to 14.10.

Got a 50 mile bike ride planned for Sunday and hope to squeeze in another 40 miles during the week which should help.

Lost 4lbs last week :) I'm guessing Xmas is going to undo all this hard work lol!

Somehow I managed to only put on 1lb over Christmas!! Shocking!

Anyways I had a few weeks off as we were moving house and all the kitchen stuff was packed away. On sat I had lost another 4lb which is a total of 2 stone lost so far.
