I wish tatabubbly! Personal trainers around me are £40+ per hour. EEK!
Trying to do it the old-fashioned way, so thanks everyone for sharing your motivations and goals.
Had healthy salad lunch, ruined by following it up with a chocolate bar.
Need to actually buy some scales so I can measure my progress.M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -

Stick some push ups, squats, jumps, and lunges in there too, or have a look at the NHS Strength and Flex program.
Resistance work + cardio = WAY better than just cardio!

I'd like to join in please! Got engaged last week, and discussing ideas for April/ May 2015 so not actually that long! Currently a very uncomfortable size 14 but would love to be size 12 for my wedding day! Struggling a bit to get any motivation at the moment with Xmas, so have decided to not be too hard on myself until after xmas, just going to push myself to get back to the gym a little before then to make me feel like I'm doing something!
May look at the 5:2 diet after xmas, did it for about a month before and it did seem to work!0 -

Did you mean 2014? If not then that's loads of time!
I lost another 2lbs this week. I took HBS advice of weight training and started doing Starting Strength alongside my other cardio. Can't lift much yet as my arms are like jelly :rotfl:Married 30/08/14 :heartpuls0 -

hello all!
I started Couch to 5k training today, weighing in on Friday, I hope I see a good loss. But regardless, running will help me tone up.0 -

Right, I don't have scales so no weighing in.
Like *Twinkle* I am doing it by how my clothes fit.
Got a pair of size 12 jeans I am aiming for.
So far, my current work trousers feel a lot less tight, but think I have another 5 inches or so to goM3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
Hi ladies,
Mind if I chip in..
I am on a much shorter time span - I am getting married December 28th...!! Just need to lose a few lbs in order to allow myself some flexibility at Xmas... ideally 4lbs if poss!
Also, my lady altering my dress told me to lose a few! Rude!! I have already lost about 38lbs since I started and that was through spinning, playing netball 2 or 3 times a week and weights work.
Hopefully you lot can help motivate me to lose these last few! Will take me to the 3 stone mark!0 -
hey all, started a primal/paleo diet on friday! Being spurred on by the lack of sample dresses in my size
When in the wedding dress shop she kept trying to shoehorn me into samples which were size 10/12 despite me telling her I was a size 14! Very annoying but giving me a bit of an incentive!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250
