Hi Joanne, what a weekend you have had! I can't believe that you are going to have to have Mum and sister living with you! Hopefully they will get something sorted pretty darned quick.

I hope your week brings you better news - I expect you are aching after that walk, and crawling into small spaces, so have a rest today x

    Hi Joanne

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I admire the way you keep your feisty spirit amidst it all. Hope the fetishists pay well for your boots, and the £19 for the other ones should come in handy. Was there anything sellable in your mum's loft?

It sounds mega stressful having all your family living with you - that will surely give them loads of points on the housing register.

Make sure to keep the goldfish safe from the cats now
Thanks Seaxwyn. There is now just four hours left of the biker boots auction. I looked at other similar auctions and thoose are up to £40 but in a diferent colour. Still crossing my fingers here. There are tonnes of sellable things in mums loft (nothing that belongs to me though) and I've been getting on at her to do a car boot sale and raise herself some extra money. Hopefully she'll listen to me or let me list things on gumtree and the likes to bring her in extra cash that she needs.
I contacted my housing association and they've no problem with my mum and sister moving in be it long or short term, so at least that's sorted. I just need to keep on at the various departments at the council who deal with the homeles side of things and make them pull their finger out and get her a home.
    xx

There was a whole lot more to my weekend than I actually jotted down, so far I've just written about the tip of the iceberg but....I don't need to go into all that bumph on here. I certainly don't want to depress the very folk who are keeping me from depression :p
Thanks for your words Hypno, how's things over your way? That neck of yours healed up yet hon?

    xx

Still wearing the delightful collar, but off to the physio again this afternoon so another step on the road to recovery. Thanks for asking!

Made a whole £1.60 on ebay this morning, but fees outstanding total £5.01 so fat lot of good that is!! Got a book listed on amazon today too, but really do need to get my act together if I am going to get rich!!

Glad to hear it's being dealt with hon, even though thoose collars are rather uncomfy. I know how you feel with the fee-bay fees, I'm up to £6 odds already, poo.
I've got two books here I want to list on ebay or amazon but don't know how to go about setting the postage costs. They're both really thick and really heacy and since they were bought for my stint at college which I didn't go through with, I'd like to get some of the cash back for them. Any ideas how I go about that? Good luck with your books too!

If you list on Amazon, you will be given a set amount to cover the postage, so no need for you to guess. Set yourself up as an amazon seller on amazon.co.uk and put the ISBN number is - have a play and before you confirm listing you get to see the net amount they will pay you. From that amount you need to deduct the actual cost of postage, so weigh your item and look up on royal mail.com to see if it is worth doing.

The good thing about amazon is that books stay on there for 3 months if they are unsold, and they don't charge you unless you actually sell them. Downside is that you fix your price up front rather than rely on bidders.

Swings and roundabouts really. Like everything, sometimes it works, sometimes, not, but it costs nothing to try, unlike fee-bay.

Biker boots are still at £26, the found boots still at 0 with 9 watchers and 216 viewings. I hope someone bids on the scabby ones :rotfl:
